Will be re-gearing/lockers next year (ECGS supplied) and am looking for a local shop to swap out 3rds and clamshells for me. I can most likely do this my self but just want a shop to do it quickly and be as efficient as possible.

    Any recommendation?

Just picked up my truck today in Calgary from Krave. 5:29 Nitro gears, OVtune and EGCS all done. Very happy with it. Worth the trip.

I have picked up a few things from KRave...they are a great shop. What do you mean by EGCS?
All I need is to have the third and clamshell swapped since I wil be ordering those assembled from East Coast Gear Supply with 4.56 gears and Harrop e-lockers.

Also, must have been a long trip from Calgary breaking in the gears....

Looking to replace original shocks (164,000 km) with some bilstein 5100's front and back. Where is best place in Edmonton or Alberta to get them ordered from. Also any good shops in town install these?

Krave Automotive in Calgary or talk to Draper Ecklund (not sure he still works there) in Parts at Sherwood Toyota.

Any recommendations on a dealer for maintenance service in Edmonton?(still under warranty) Have had all my services since new done at Sherwood toyota but after my last few experiences i am no longer willing to deal with them (had to bring my tacoma in 4 separate times to get a clutch pedal assembly recall done, in which 3 of them they ordered the wrong parts) once the work was completed the one advisor said she would have to email me a copy of the work completed, i said no problem verified my email and never received anything. I emailed the service manager i had been in contact with twice in 3 days asking for a copy and have not received anything. The last 6 or 7 times i have been there none of the service advisors i dealt with seemed to know whats going on and blame their "system" i'm chalking it up to incompetence.

Yeah i had great service at first with Bill (who i've known from the car scene for over 10 years)not sure what happened with him. It seems everyone ive dealt with after that is confused about their jobs. Another example they set me up with a rental from enterprise but then when enterprise tried to get an invoice number they hung up on them 5 times while i was there. I had to get it when i got back to Toyota and give it to the enterprise shuttle driver

I bought my truck at Mayfield Toyota and although there were a couple of minor hiccups, I took my truck there for the first 2 years for service. That all changed when they refused to do warranty work just as the bumper to bumper warranty was about to expire. My truck makes the buzzing noise at highway speeds in a strong crosswind which I wanted them to fix. There is even a TSB on it but I got the "couldn't replicate the problem" line from the service advisor. I mentioned the TSB to the service advisor, but he just made excuses and basically ignored it. A review of my dash-cam footage revealed that they made no attempt to replicate the problem as the test drive went around a city block and not on any highway. They lost me as a customer at that point. The truth is I'm not confident that any of the Toyota service departments in Edmonton are reliable.

So ended up getting a service today through toyota on the trail as its close to my house. The service advisor notified me that toyota Canada has no record of any services completed on my tacoma big red flag thankfully i have most of the service records printed out minus the clutch petal assembly recall.

Hey everyone, I just finished installing this 2.8" pulley on my buddy's truck (stock size is 3.0" in case you didn't know). He likes the bit of extra power. Anyone else in the city has a TRD/Magnuson supercharger? He's the only other guy I know of.

For the absolute best price I know this guy, he's authorized tire dealer and he will come to your place of residence or work and install your tires. He only does brand name tires with warranty ,20200828_185832.jpg not those cheap chinese knockoffs. Just say that Dan from the hospital recommended ...(in Edmonton).

Just tell Clint that Dan from the hospital told you about it. Clint will come to your place of residence or work when it's convenient for you and can get you pretty much any tire you want for the best price, with warranty. 20200828_185832.jpg

Had my truck in to get dry ice cleaned then paint and honeysealed at sublime Surfacing. Trucks a 19 with 40k km on it and was getting some pretty good surface rust with the dealer undercoating. Before:

    After:

Ted was awesome awesome to deal with and the quality of his work is great. Id highly recommend him if you're in the market for underside protection
