Finally tore all the way into the truck to put the crawl box in. While i was in there i sprayed a can of sound deadener in the trans tunnel and already have sound mat inside the cab.20180823_204415.jpg

Had to get a bit creative on pulling the coupler off the input to the stock t case.

Bearing seperator and a 3 arm puller. 20180824_095506.jpg

All was going great until i went to put the crawl box on the back of the transmission tail housing.
It doesnt fit... the machining on the trail gear transmission adapter is 3/16 to 1/4 off on the dowel holes and some of the bolt holes.

    The other wont line up

Fiannaly went and got my front axle from Daimond, forgot to mention i got her a companion a couple weeks ago.
Diamond housing is 9.5 center section with fj80 outers gussetted, 67 wms. Her sibbling along side is a spidertrax spider 9 pro housing for the rear. Heat treated with spidertrax' chromoly unit bearing ends and wildwood brackets. Thinking i will cut it down for a 64 or 65 wms, have not decided yet and i will cut it for a centered pinion, not equal length shafts (so 1 shaft will be 2.125" longer)20180828_193259.jpg

Bad ass man. Buy the 9 in housing new or "used"? Just from experience I would do the rear axle either same length or .5-1" shorter if itll mainly be a wheeler. Mine makes it really hard to spot/do v notches with the rear being 4.5" narrower.

Actually bought both of the housings 'used'. The diamond had brackets tacked on it for mock up on a buggy but never ran and the spidertrax was another craigslist deal that someone bought and just never did anything with it.

Thanks for the i put on width for the rear, i have a bit of time to po der it (unless i blow up another 8" rear than it will become the priority!)

Figured while i was messing with driveline stuff i would put a shift kit in the valvebody. This is more to protect the clutch packs than anything, i have read the tranny in stock form does not like a supercharger.

Has to be one of the most messy projects i have done, atf just keeps seeping from everything.

They had to make every bolt in this thing different, had to draw up a diagram to keep things straight.
