I just had the EFI service & MAF cleaned at the dealership, and noticed I am ideling high(2k), even when warm(1.5k).

After reading here I need to reset the ecu, so I disconnected the battery and gonna do the READINESS MONITOR DRIVE PATTERNS.

I was just a little concerned the dealer didn't disconnect the battery while they did that, isnt that SOP?

    Regards

    Eric

There's no need. The system will adjust on its own after a few restart cycles.
The "gunk" on the butterfly required that the ECU hold it open a bit more than it needs to now that it's clean.

Some vehicle react... negatively... to having the battery disconnected.
In addition to losing the radio presets, my wife's Rav4 barely runs after pulling the battery. For the first couple of restarts, she has to hold her foot on the gas just to keep it running at idle.
