EGR Filter

    Anyone know if you can buy the EGR filter separately? I heard that you can clean the old filter and put it back in?

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    yep, its just a filter element so it can be cleaned, its rare they ever go bad, after all its just a filter.

    Bilsteins, OME 881's, 3-leaf AAL, Detroit TruTrac, Tundra brake swap, Michelin LTX AT2, Tranny skidplate, TC skidplate, CBI rear bumper, TG sliders, UltraGauge, PowerTank, Reverse Camera
    Its on top of the EGR modulator. Its needs venting to the air, so a coarse filter protects crud from getting into it. Its not much bigger than a quarter.

    oh that one. sorry, when i hear/read air filter, i think something large like the motor's filter.

    maybe swap it with the dashpot's air filter if you have one?

    Is cleaning it just running it through water and letting it air dry or should I leave it as is if I'm having no issues with it?

    just spray the shit out of it with carb cleaner until no more dirt comes out, then let dry.

    that's all there is to it
