Noticed my truck lagging no power when driving wouldn’t go over 2500 rpm’s and noticed a blow by coming from under hood. Got home noticed the egr vacuum modulator was melted, got a new open one from Toyota put it on and still didn’t run right and noticed after just running a mile down the road the niple on the bottom was starting to melt. What would cause such a thing is my egr bad? Or sensor? Please help

...you ever tried to clean the egr/pcv port on intake?

CC this should be right up your ally.

good chance its carboned up those ports that go into back of intake plenum...

the egr opening and/or the pcv is all carboned up...

you should give him a link to how you cleaned yours....

My major ‘cleaning’ job was TB/IAC/intake manifold/plenum

My intake was clean and egr as well. What ended up being my problem was poor exhaust pressure front cat was clogged due to failure which was raising exhaust temperatures and overheating egr. Replaced cats and muffler. Runs perfect.
Hope this helps anyone else that might have the problem.
