I’d like to get rid of the spacer lift I have now and have a question. If I was to use the Eibach springs with the 5100 set at the second notch would I acquire close to the 3” of lift I have now with the spacer, and will the ride quality be substantially better than the spacer lift? I like the level look it has now so don’t want too much rake. I have the add a leaf in the rear with 5100 and will leave that in place.

Second notch is about .65" so no where near 3" of lift.

On the highest setting you will get 2" of lift but it may ride harsh. Alot of guys run the 3rd notch (1.1") or 4th Notch (1.55").

If you match our spring with our shock it generally improves ride quality, IMO.

I haven't been in a truck with our spring on a 5100, but I think it would be fine, too.

    Hope that helps!

(and it just looks much better!)

Ok I’m confused. I thought the 2” Eibach spring lifted the front end 2” with a stock setting on the shock. If I used 5100 at a higher notch, would I not get an extra 1/2” to 1” of height? I’m guessing it would stiffen up the ride a bit, but still be a nicer ride than a spacer lift. Is that correct?

I am pretty sure Eibach does not recommend compressing their springs, at least that is what I was told when I had them on my 2nd gen taco.

No extra weight. Pavement princess, other than the odd fishing road. The “Stompin” days are over. Just trying to soften the ride a bit without breaking the bank, but staying as close to the 3” mark as possible.

You make some good points. While I’m not totally against the spacer, I think I’d like the more comfortable ride. I’m definitely not opposed to going the 5100 with a stock spring. But can you put a thin spacer on top to gain a little more or is that putting me back to where I am now. Right now the truck sits perfect, so I’d like to get as close to that as possible. I’m sure 2 1/2” would do.

So in everyone's opinion....if you are looking to level the truck, what gives the best ride? 5100's and what springs? Complete Eibach pro tuck kit...springs and shocks?

Looking to do the same within the next 5K miles....

Is a spacer needed on driver side to prevent sag?

From what I gather the Eibach will give me a 2 inch lift on the lowest setting. I was thinking about adding a 1/2 inch spacer (1" lift) to it so I can get a full 3 inch lift in the front. My rear setup is the Icon RXT AAL (1.5" lift) with a 1 inch block for a total of 2.5" lift for the rear.

Does this sound like a good idea? I don't really go wheeling since it's illegal in my state and I spend 95% freeway driving.

The Eibach spring on a 5100 or Eiback strut will net you around 2-2.25" of lift after settling on the lowest clip setting. Is there a reason why you are looking to get exactly 3" of lift? Id say just keep the Eibach spring on the lowest setting and get a taller tire. Id also say get the Eibach struts to go with the Eibach spring since they were made for eachother. The Eibach and Bilstien strut are almost identical in design. I have the Eibach kit and have been 100% satisfied for the year that Ive been driving on it.

I'm trying to fit 285/70/17 or 285/75/16 without doing any trimming at all or CMC. I don't even want to have to remove the mud flaps. If I have no choice, then I will do a cab mount relocation instead. I'm trying everything I can to avoid that.

On the Eibach kit, I clear 285/75/16. I didnt trim or cut anything.

    What's your wheels offset?

Did you have to remove the mud flaps? What about the front air dam?

What brand tires do you have?

That's good data. I have an SR5 so I might have to remove the air dam and mud flaps, which I don't mind. I just wanted to see how much work I have to do.

    Thanks!

I have 285/70/17’s on Ray 10’s. Minor rubbing on the flaps and lots on the air dam. I modified the dam and no rubbing now at that point. I put an extra screw in the mud flap and it’s now very minimal.

Minimal as when the suspension flex or when you hit a bump?

Just barely scrapes the flap on full steering lock.
