Has anyone ran this combo. Thinking of doing second notch in front with the extended 5100s and Dakar pack or 2in aal haven’t decided yet

So that combo should be fine!

Do you have the ol in? The guys at eibach said the rear shouldn’t be more than 1.5 but everyone I see running it is using 1.5-2 in aal plus overload

FWIW, check out the compressed/extended lengths of the eibachs vs standard 5100s. I've seen standard 5100s in the rear on 1-3" rear lifts for years, and the eibach rear shocks are extremely comparable in specs. That being said, I didn't feel comfortable going that route either, so I went with the B110's (but I have 2.5-2.75" rear lift). Just check out the specs of each option and make an educated decision from there. I'm fairly certain the Eibachs would be fine at the height you want.

I wonder why the tech said they only do their testing at 1.5?

Liability, for one. But also, because that's probably actually the most optimal lift height for the shocks to be used for. Its a tricky subject because the longest shock you can fit isn't always the best option. For every inch gained one way, you lose it another. If you go with a full leaf pack replacement, my unprofessional budget recommendation would be the b110s. If you stick to an AAL and don't go over 2", the Eibachs have proven to be sufficient by countless others in the eibach main thread.

    Thanks!

my only thing with the eibachs on the second notch, is it seems it needs at least a 2in aal with the overload in for it to have some rake and not be nose high.

would that be ok? Or pushing it?

Its hard to say, not knowing what other mods you have on your truck. If you have a bunch of weight up front (steel bumper/winch/skids), 2" rear lift may be perfect for getting a little rake. If you don't have any weight up front and you go to the 2nd notch, it'd likely be just a tad nose high up front. Not to mention, it'll be extremely stiff riding on the 2nd notch and no weight. I can live with it personally, but I wouldn't expect others to drive my truck and like how stiff it is.

i was actually gonna buy dakars but seen that the leaf packs would tend to W after some use so i cancelled my dakars order and put the order in for the deavers. deavers are more expensive though

Would you put different tires in the rear, then what's in the front??
