It’s all the same reason though. Eibach recommends first notch if there is no added weight in front.

You’re gonna ask everyone why they set it to first notch when it’s obvious why? Ok.
Some people read through these types of threads to gather info, not to read the same question, by the same poster(you), that will almost guarantee yield the same answer.

    NO ADDED WEIGHT IN FRONT.

Why you being a Dick! I am just asking another person's opinion. Some people put it on a different setting because they want to, or because they have bigger tires, or they want a higher lift. Simple as that.

But you’re asking why on the first notch. I haven’t read one post that said they set it on the first notch because they wanted more lift. Or because they had a winch. Or because they had a steel bumper. The first notch is for no added weight in front. Simple as that. There are no variables to the first notch.

I’ve had this lift installed twice. Once on the first notch and it rubbed, so I had it set to the second notch and it still rubbed a tad until I got my caster set properly on my alignment. It rides like shit on the second notch and I’m tired of getting beat around in this little ass truck. I’m thinking of setting it back to first notch or going back to stick height. I have JBA high caster upper control arms too.

It’s not that bad. I’m sure the cmc will take care of most if not all. When I ride around by myself I’ll hear maybe once turning into a drive way. Or backing up and turning. Other than I don’t rub.

All I’m saying is you can make an educated guess as to why they set it at the first clip. You’re asking multiple people who have done so, why. It’s not hard to comprehend. And I’m saying this again, you’ve inquired multiple times on the first notch.
Correct me if I’m wrong, not you specifically, but going to the 2nd or 3rd notch doesn’t equate to more lift. At least not from my understanding. All it is doing is adding preload? Which increases stiffness for added weight.

I thought these forums were here to ask general questions about parts, and other people's set up. Not to get hounded by the question count police. I only asked 2 people. Making it sound like I asked this entire thread.

Thank you for answering my question. I was more interested why they chose the first notch over the 2nd. Some people are just for looks and they want a higher lift and don't really care about their ride being stiff.
And yes, apologies I probably didn't ask the question in the right way. I guess you have to be more specific with some people or you get chewed out.

Not sure what the start of your post says but I'm on stock UCA's on the first notch. Everything is good so far.
