You shouldn't get a block at all, you should get an AAL

You’ll need 1.5” in the rear

I did so much reading here, very good info. I ordered the kit with 1.5" blocks for the rear.

Current dilemma is deciding if I want it at lowest perch or second perch. The truck is a daily commuter with no weight up front and nothing in the back. Tires will be 265/70/17.. should I just leave it at first perch for a tiny rake so when I have a load from my Home Depot runs here and there, it won't look saggy?

I am leaning towards the first perch as I want a tiny bit of rake (no more than 1")

    Thank you!

Would it be recommended to install the front first, let it settle, then decide what to do with the rear height? My kit is coming in today and I purposely left out the blocks and didn’t order a leaf pack to do this. Also have a a 105 lb front bumper, so I understand I need the fronts on the middle setting, but I’m assuming the sliders I make will be another 120 or so, should I just leave it on the middle?

I'm thinking of going up to 275/70/17 Wildpeaks for my next set of shoes.

I've got 130+ lbs between bumper and winch. Also have steel sliders. I'm on 2nd notch with med duty dakars in back and have only about 1/2 rake. I guess I do have at least 100 lbs in the bed consistently also.

i like the size but they're all so heavy. according to tiresize.com, they are 57 lbs a tire, 2 lbs heavier than the E rated KO2s of the same size, 7 lbs heavier than the C rated 285 KO2s, and 11+ lbs heavier than the 265s I'm currently on. Seems like going that much heavier would necessitate a regear which I'm trying to avoid for the time being. If you do go that route without a regear, i'm very interested to hear what you think--difference in acceleration and braking mostly. Did you say what you are currently on?

Would you think I can get away with just an add a leaf? I usually don’t have constant weight in the bed.

Oh man, I did not know they were that heavy. Heavier than the E rated KO2s? That's wild. I am currently running 265 70 17 KO2 C rated tires.

If you add a winch and do the stage 2 bumper you might just want to put it on the top notch. I got a winch and I’m waiting on my stage 2 to come in. Sags pretty bad. I plan on moving it to the top notch once I get time. I’ve been rubbing with 33s and a cmc.. smh. Truck is currently in the shop getting the recall done for the fuel pump. I’ll throw up a picture when I get a chance to show you what I’m talking about

Just installed everything today. Came out looking great! I need new wheels and tires though:rolleyes:

Can anyone confirm if my cv angles are too extreme? Looks like this on both sides (pass. + driver). I have only driven the truck about 10 miles.
Also thinking The excessive angles could be because I have not got an alignment yet and I can tell I am running some addition positive camber.

Front set to 2nd (middle) notch and 2” Wulf AAL in the rear. 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeaks. Did the ECGS while I was in there as well.

those angles are not terrible and it should settle after a little bit. Just keep an eye on them and check to see if the ribs are actually rubbing each other. If they are, that'll be the spot where it gives way and you might see some grease be flung around. Hopefully not though plenty of guys have not had that issue

I swapped out my suspension for some Kings and am rubbing with 33" also. I think I can get it dialed out without having to do a CMC. I'm going to give that a shot first and start chopping from there.

Anybody running the Cooper AT3 in a 285/75/r16?

My lift goes on on the 8th ( 2nd notch w/ stock UCA ) and I leave for a long road trip on the 23rd. The shop says I'll be good with that size but would hate to go up from 265/75 and start rubbing right before I put on 6k-ish miles on them.

I think it all depends on wheel offset and castor with 33”. Stock UCA will give you limited to no castor adjustment though

I've got an 8" wheel with 0 offset. The shop said I should be fine..

I can’t speak from experience. Best to look through the 285/75/16 // 285/70/17 thread and see if another member is running a similar setup and whether they did a cmc or not.
