Eibach is a leading manufacturer of suspension components. In the 20 years or so that I’ve been mocking around with cars, they’ve always been one of the best options for springs. It’s what they know and make their money and reputation on.

I know less about their shock program but I’ve always heard good things. Back when I was more into autocross and sports cars my go to setup was Eibach sport springs with Koni yellow struts but I wanted the adjustability Koni offered.

For Tacoma’s, you’ve got three things that make the kit great imo:
-proper lift springs for the front, designed for 3rd genes not repurposed.
    - high quality longer than stock front struts that I imagine are at least on par with Bilstein 5100’s that are able to support that lift with longer than stock rear shocks to support an even F/R lift when you decide to add a block or change rear springs
    - cost. $600 for a matched spring and strut system is cheap in the scheme of things. The next step up are Bilstein 6112 and 5160’s at nearly double the cost. OME springs with 5100’s are the same cost, but their springs don’t seem to be holding up well and it’s not a matched system

i have a DCSB sport 4x4 and find it to be too stiff. specially the back end. it keeps bouncing and feels like it comes loose after bumps. OR was not an option for me, we dont get them in Mexico. will this Eibach kit make it even stiffer or is it somewhere in between the sport and OR? i see some coments about it being a tad stiffer. im guessing these people are riding ORs. im even considering twin tubes from Dobinsons or OME so i can get that tail to calm down. front seems ok to me. i might settle for 1-2in lift.

I have put ~4k on this setup and added ~200lbs of static weight to the back plus hacked up (shortened) the overload leaf (added 2-degree shims too) and put it back in. Rake is perfect with the front set on the lowest setting (no extra weight upfront). The ride is exacly what I wanted from a progressive shock. Great off-road and on-road performance (could be seen as a bit firm with no weight upfront) for the money spent. The 3 leaf AAL helped with the "bounciness" in the back (compared to 1 leaf AAL) and the weight from the DIY bed storage system. Also, OVTune and the new JBL speakers I put in makes it that much more enjoyable to drive. I wish I did the ECGS bushing because after about 2K I have noticed what I believe to be the needle bearing making noise/vibration in the front (goes away in 4 hi/low). Also after getting OVTune and knowing what the torque converter is doing, some of my original vibration issues with the truck were associated with Toyota's abysmal MPG oriented tuning (get better MPGs with OVTune anyway and thought it was drivetrain angles for the longest time).

Depending on your needs, I think most will agree, this kit is hard to beat at it's current price point. Throw in that crazy Wheel Well deal and it was a no brainier for many. Having said that, keep your expectations moderate because these are not Kings, Fox, ADS, top end Bilsteins, etc.

I agree, for the price you can’t beat it. Especially if you were able to snag it from Wheelwell for $395 like some of us did. Even at $595 I believe it’s the best bang for the buck out there. If your looking for a quality lift at a cheaper pricepoint this is your lift. I don’t need Kings/Fox/ADS for what I do. My truck is not a daily driver, and I have two boys under 3 and a wife that doesn’t understand my vehicle hobby, so this pricepoint along with Eibach quality made this an easy decision.

My top choice would have been the Bilstein 6112/5160 set up, but your looking at $1100 for that kit.

@Ryan at Eibach - Twins09 pic above is a great setup. Setting at the second notch as he did will yield me how much height in front on a similar truck? How much height at the bottom/base notch? Thank you!

And to piggyback off that question, how much will ride quality suffer if moving to the second notch vs the first? No additional weight.

ECGS (east coast gear supply) is the brand, you’re purchasing a clamshell bushing that eliminates the needle bearing/ potential vibration. Type ecgs bushing Tacoma on google and you’ll be able to find the site

Thanks! Another stupid question. Do I need to buy two of them? A left and right side? I'm new to all of this...

    Mine is on second notch
Hub to fender at 23.75” (2.75” lift) both left/right with 1/4” top plate driver side
    Dakar in the rear
You’ll want new UCAs to get a good alignment at this height.
