Just going by my own experience. When I installed icon coilovers on my 2015 tundra I found it a bit tough to get the two lower control arm bolts. As well as not having to mess with the cammed control arm bolts. So .... first video is less bolts. Either way will work.

I've lifted 2x 5th gen 4runners and a 3rd gen Tacoma. There is absolutely no reason to touch the lower control arm bolts in these cars. Remove the upper control arm, tie rod, and sway bar nuts on both sides. Turn the sway bar up. Then remove the strut lower bolt and upper struts nuts and pull out the strut. Put the new strut in and do the opposite.

Well I'm looking to get around 2" of lift (preferably all around, not leveling, and not looking to go much higher just yet) and I'm trying to avoid spacers/pucks/blocks. I do eventually want to do MORE trails (nothing crazy but enough to avoid spacers and lean more towards suspension lift).

I know it's not a 4x4 but still want to enjoy it a little. Not trying to go Kings or Icon, just way too out of the ballpark on that one. I would prefer to do less but also trying to do it right the first time. I could always do AAL for now, and get full pack only when the stock leafs start to sag.

I would've went the usual Bilstein 5100 path but I'm leaning more towards the Eibachs at this point in time, just a few things I liked better with this kit versus the Billys.

Just go with an AAL. You don't need a whole leaf pack for just a daily driver.

Your truck looks perfect. Exactly what i'm going for with my SR5 with those same rims.. Couple questions... are your fronts set at the bottom notch? Did you leave your overload spring in the rear? And what size are your tires? Thanks.

These looks awesome. What are the differences?

Been thinking about ordering a lift recently, after needing a bit more clearance from a trail trip I was just on haha

These appear to be adjustable coilovers like some of the Icon and other brand kits.

Love the look. Did you have to do anything extra going that high on lift? And what size tires / wheels?

Thank you! I plan on adding a roof rack for the cab and shell, and possibly having a swing out tire carrier in the rear. To be honest I can't for the life of me remember what notch I set it too LOL. Overload spring is still in and tire size is 265/75/16R

    Finally got my lift on
Bottom setting and wheelers 1.5” aal in the rear
Has slight rake but I tow so I don’t mind. Also have 1/4” lean spacer drivers side. ride is great! Had ome springs in my last Tacoma and these are no where near as stiff as the ome.
alignment came on great with stock uca

You may have convinced me to buy this kit and give it a shot, looks great . What was your final lift amount on front after install (since I see it varies slightly truck to truck).

I got 2” up front. The driver side was 1/2” lower pre lift so with the lean spaced it evened it out with the passenger side.

my aal is sitting alittle high. The aal is supposed to be 1.5” with overload. I’m close to 2” with that aal. I expect the aal to settle alittle over time after towing my boat.

My truck has about 1” rake slightly less than stock but it doesn’t bother me as I tow a 19 foot boat on a tandem axle trailer so it will sag on the back.

no diff drop and only did the cb drop. My cv fins look great.
    I’ll take more pics later

Layperson here, is that good? What notch setting did you use? Tire size? Diff drop, carrier bearing drop, swap out the needle bearing?

Sorry, just read your prior post.... I've been working 70 hour weeks for the last 3 weeks. That's my excuse anyhow.

I went with the bottom notch - if I want a level truck the middle notch would be ideal. No diff drop but did the cb drop and did not change the needle bearing . I’m gonna just run it as is unless the bearing gives me problems. Almost all the guys I talked to here never did change out the needle bearing so I’ll only do it unless I have to.
    Tire size is 265 70 17 duratracs
