I recently just got the Eibach pro lift installed on my 06 DCLB and was wondering what my tire options would be. I am currently running toyo open country a/t 2 in a 265/70 16 and was wondering how much bigger can I go without having to regear and stay within oem specs as close as possible.

I would run with 265/75/16, just an inch taller than what you have now

That's exactly what I was wanting to do was go an inch taller on the tire size. As far as load range and all what do you think would be best option I was looking at the new toyo at3 and they have 4 load ratings and that gets mind boggling

    AT3's are a great choice.

Basically, standard load P265/75R16 is less tread, less ply, and cheaper. These are the best for city trucks that don't offroad too much and want better fuel economy.

LT265/76R16 E is a 10 ply tire, they have more tread, more layers in the tire and cost more. This is due to higher load rating (beyond tacoma's hauling ability)

The reason Tacoma owners get 10 ply is for looks, they have stronger sidewalls that appear more aggresive.

They don't flex as much when towing. They are more resistant to punctures offroading. They also deflate further when offroading.

I've run all sorts of tires and both are good choices, I run standard load tires now that I don't offroad as much now.

The 2 choices in E are for the sidewall lettering. Black sidewalls are best.

I gotcha. So typical load range to stay with would be standard load im guessing? That's what my toyo at2s are that I am running now. They are great and I spend my offroad time usually every weekend or every other weekend. So my next question would be should I stick with standard load range or go with a 10 ply? Or look into a M/T tire. I'm just trying to get all my questions sorted out since I have been out of the offroad community for years and recently just got back into it about two years ago so learning tires on a tacoma is definitely new for me.
