So far I'm loving this setup. There's a member here that is selling his kit because it was "too stiff" but honestly, I'm not experiencing that. Maybe it's my OME Dakar HD leafs that make it a little better.

I went wheeling over the weekend with the Firestone RideRite airbags and Daystar cradle set to 10psi and it worked very well.

Increasing caster from the UCA reduces your tire clearance though. You'll want to maximize caster at your LCAs and decide whether or not it's enough for you or if you want more from aftermarket adjustable UCAs.

In fact, I'm considering reducing my caster at my UCAs to have more clearance for my tires.

There's nothing wrong with stock specs on your caster either. Its the driver's preference if they want more or not.

So you have both the Dakar leaf pack and the Firestone airbags? What made you add the airbags?
Your write up has almost convinced me to go with the Eibach lift, but I'd like more information on the airbags with the Dakar pack if you don't mind.
    Thanks

    Cheers

So this is as clear as mud to me... I know nothing about max or min caster for tire clearance. Im going to be stuffing a 285/70/17 with the SCS SR8s... what should me specs be for best tire clearance and articulation?

This might be a very dumb question, but I can't really find an answer anywhere so I'm gonna ask here because I'm considering this kit. It's a great value.

If I get this kit and have the front on the lowest notch (stock height), can I add a strut spacer on top to get some lift? The reason is I want a lift with a plush ride possible because I have a 100 miles commute.

I'll add the Icon 1.5 progressive AAL to lift the rear.

Is this a good idea? I know this forum does not like spacers lift, but I'm on a tight budget and would like to get as much performance and comfort as I can.

The lowest notch is still a 2" lift in the front. You'll only need a 1/4" spacer on the driver side for the taco lean.

Ride is firmer than stock, but still comfortable.

So the 3rd (top notch) should give up to 3 inch lift? That's a lot.

You only use the 2nd or 3rd notch if you have weight on the front from a bumper or winch (or both).

Is there any advantage of this system vs. the Bilstein 5100 with factory coils? Which one has a softer ride on pavement?

Hope you plan on leaving it on pavement or you'll be purchasing better coils in the near future.

Wish I knew about these before I did my Bilsteins almost a year ago. I did the UCAs and they clunk like there is no tomorrow :frusty:

Can any of the TW fam recommend a good AAL/replacement pack w/ this coil setup? Currently no armor, no bed rails, no RTT. Looking max 2" lift all around, trying to mimic stock offroad on road mannerisms as my truck is my daily.

Will hit some trails after suspension swap.

    Thanks guys :bananadance:

That rusted out shock/spring combo doesn't look like the Eibach kit tho?

I opted with the OME Heavy Duty for the rear. Came recommended by several ppl and even Eibach. I still have to put everything on lol

Not a kit but it's thwir coils. Wouldn't have been rusted if it wouldn't have broke without me knowing it. That side was broke, the other was barely having on with a crack in it
