Recently, Eibach released their Pro-Truck Reservoir Shocks for the Tacoma.

I figured I would go ahead and start a thread as I can't seem to find much information besides the Eibach website. Hopefully we can get some feedback from those who have tested them, but I figure that won't be for a while since they are pretty much brand new.

Link to Drivers Side Rear: PRO-TRUCK Reservoir Shock (Single Rear for Lifted Suspensions 0-1.5")

Link to Passenger Side Rear: PRO-TRUCK Reservoir Shock (Single Rear for Lifted Suspensions 0-1.5")

I guess to start off with some questions, what is the extended and collapsed length for these shocks? (I know the pro-truck rear shocks are 0-1.5 but their collapsed and extended lengths make them suitable for bigger lifts than that.

    What are your thoughts/experience?

So I got this information from Eibach today:

    Extended: 22.9"
    Collapsed: 14.1"

"Measurements are from the center of the eyelet at the bottom to the bottom of the upper stem"

Interesting. Honestly looks like you're just getting a Bilstein 5100 with an added reservoir.

    Eibach Pro Stage 1: 14.92" collapsed/24.09" extended
    Standard Length 5100's: 14.02 collapsed/22.94" extended

Very true, I was also looking at the Bilstein 5160 Remote Reservoirs (if you want remote reservoirs) their numbers are:
    Collapsed: 14.22"
    Extended: 24.06"

I don't know the difference between valving but the Remote Reservoir 5160 are also a bit cheaper. Just something to think about.

Yeah, really interesting for sure; I'd think the new eibachs should compete with the 5160's, but the specs are more comparable to the standard length 5100s (plus a reservoir). People run standard 5100's with 0-2.5" lift all the time, so I'd assume the new eibachs would be just as fine, but definitely something to look at if someones going with upgraded leafs with more droop potential.

Eibach mentions a nitrided shaft, which is more durable against stone chips. Does the Bilstein 5160 have a chrome plated or nitrided shaft?

No idea, I don't have any of the shocks listed in this thread lol; just researched them a small amount when I was in the market.
