The Stage 2 kits come assembled. The Stage 1 does not. However, if you wanted Stage 1 assembled we could probably figure something out.

Ah! If he buys a pro truck 2 or 2R kit linked above they come assembled. The only other thing I would probably recommend to add to a Taco is a small lift block in the rear. These 1" ones pair up well with the Stage 2 kits for a level look.

Is this pro truck 2r kit better than the bilstein 6122/5160?

Oh there will be some mods all right
Funny you ask that. I was just kind of wondering the same thing. It is my belief that the 6112s are better seeing as how they are bigger and bigger (usually) is better with shocks. As far as the rear though I am far less confident in which one is better. Obviously better is a subjective term with suspension because some people place priority on different things. Some people value on road ride above all and some people value off-road capability. I would determine best for me to be which shocks can go the quickest off-road and have the best resistance against hitting the bump stops. The reservoirs appear to be bigger on the 5160s but obviously that doesn't mean they would be better at absorbing large bumps. What day you Mr. @memario1214 :D

Well... This is a million dollar question, and honestly a tough one to answer! As previously mentioned the 6112 is a slightly larger bodied shock so it is going to have more oil capacity/greater resistance to fade. As for the spring rates these shocks both share a 600# 14" free length spring so I don't a difference there. I won't go on the stand as having said this, but I am pretty sure that they're the same spring.

In terms of "feel" I find the Eibachs to feel more supple on day to day driving in town, but the 6112s feel more planted offroad for sure. As for the comparison between the 5160s and Eibach 2Rs the seat of the pants feel is the same. The 5160s feel more sturdy/hefty in the hand. Additionally, my personal opinion is I like the hose connection between the shock body and reservoir on the 5160 more than the hard 90 on the Eibach. Just seems to me that it would be less susceptible to breakage account vibration. That said, NEVER seen one fail yet so that could be completely heresay.

Honestly, the kits are very close and are our most popular sellers for good reason. They're priced competitively for the performance offered, provide incredible performance improvements, and have very few warranty claims pop up on them.
