100%. Gently suggest that anyone with a Tacoma considering buying the 2.5" dia. products, speak to someone who has no economic interest in what you buy. Because of where I worked for a long time, I'm lucky enough to know mechanical engineers who work on vehicle suspensions all day long. They said often people buy parts "just because they are in the catalog" or for other reasons not connected to true performance requirements.

The 2.0 Elka suspension is very nice, and performed very well when I towed a load that is very close to the top end of what a Tacoma is capable of. The ride quality is noticeably better after I installed it.

In the end, I'd give a lot of thought to putting money into a 3rd Gen Taco right now, it is a very fuel inefficient vehicle which will shortly be replaced with a much better model to compete with other manufacturers (including Rivian). I would buy the cheapest suspension you'll accept, and I'd have a hard look at the 5xxx or 6xxx series stuff.

Its seems like the 3rd gen lifts are just modified 2nd gen kits. Once the lift is set to achieve the higher lift limit, the postings on ride quality appear.

My 2017 TRD OR 4x4 averages about 24mpg. That's not what I would call inefficient for a 4x4 V6 pickup. I'm not sold on Rivian or Teslas. As a civil engineer, I assure you the infrastructure cannot support charging everyone's electric vehicle, nor is there enough cobalt for batteries or effective way to recycle electric vehicles.

There is room for honest people to disagree. Me, electrical engineer, more than a decade designing electric vehicles, also worked for an electrical distribution utility. Whether the grid is ready depends on where you're sitting - totally agree with you if you live in Texas.

I'll just point out that if everyone on your street can use their ovens just before dinner time, no problem charging a bunch of electric cars in your garages at night. You can easily sequence/coordinate the load through the Internet - as long as everyone can get to work in the morning, nobody is going to get too upset.

I have had great luck with Bilstein's lower prices shocks. Never had eiback to compare to.

What does the more linear progressive coil do? I heard it makes for a more plush and smoother ride.
