That's a huge help! Sorry for so many questions but this is all new to me:

    • When you say 2/1 5100's what are you referring to with the 2/1?
    • Would you suggest the rear carrier drop, front diff drop, and clamshell bushing right off the bat at the time of install of the 5100's? Or is this something that can be done later? I assume it's best to do it all at once? Like I said, my shop priced out the clamshell bushing and and carrier drop but not sure about the front diff drop. Of course it all adds up so just trying to be realistic about what I can afford and when. I wouldn't mind tackling some of the work myself within reason.
    • My wheels are +12 offset, I think you mentioned they were -12. Is a cmc still necessary if I go up in tire size? I can figure this out later I guess, I just got new tires so not necessarily in a rush to replace them right now.
Thanks again, this has been wicked helpful.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
Two in lift up front and a one-inch lift in the rear. Diff drops are like $20 and only take a few minutes to install. You can add it later, it may not be necessary as all the trucks are slightly different to some degree. My bad I read it wrong, but it still may need a cab chop as the sweet spot is 0 to +4 for wheels and not needing a chop. Do your research and study.study and study. This is pretty solid info for a basic lift, allows for a nice overall offroad suspension that will serve many well and not break the bank. I go on the beach some with mine but can handle more if need be.

Why would a chop be required at +12? It would offer more clearence. The risk is rubbing the uca on a more positive offset with a 285 not the cab mount.

To OP I would recommend looking up tinkerers adventure on YouTube All the info you need regarding lift info, alignment/uca for larger tire fitment diff drops is all covered on there in great detail.

Good point, I think it would be close.

I'm only here to add that 6112s are overkill if using 5100s in the rear. Just stick with 5100s. If you want the 6112s, get 5160s in the rear.
