I'd start in Ajo. The road historically began in Caborca, Mexico, went north and crossed into the U.S. near Lukeville. The route today begins south of Ajo and over to Yuma. There's a couple of different places to cross the mountains. Tinajas Altas and Cipriano. I want to check out these two passes relatively soon within the next week or two. I think these are supposed to be the roughest parts. As for the rest of the road east of the mountains I'll do more research. Def like to do it B4 hot weather sets in, I'd say 1stof May or so would be deadline. I read somewhere the road is a 5 out of 10. I have decent tires on my 2020 Taco and a small lift. I'm building a sleep platform in the back. At a minimum I'd like to have a 2nd battery B4 I go, I have a CPAP machine to power. There's a shit-ton of other stuff I'd like to have but realistically the 2nd battery is next and most important. 130 miles is what I'm seeing Ajo to Yuma. I think the lack of rain this year would be in our favor. There's a shit-ton of Snow Birds this side of the mountains, don't think there'd be many on east side, Cabreza Prieta or Organ pipe.

I do not currently have one. I would like to do a 2nd battery install but in the mean time I have two good AGM ATV batteries I'll charge up and use in parallel for fishing and such around here. I would not do the trip without a 2nd battery installed. Would also like to have a roof rack for a 2nd spare, gas and water. Unless I win the lottery it'll probably be the fall or next spring b4 I'm outfitted the way I want.

I could potentially be interested in joining in on this... Depending on dates. Would probably play it by ear.

I have one too. It works pretty good for starting my dead batteries. I use it all the time.

The ppl who installed my topper put a small fuse box w/3 fuses near the back.. It has 2 usb ports I've yet to investigate it in depth but I reckon 1 circuit powers the dome lite, dunno what others are for.

I think she pulls quite a bit of power. I'm thinking 00 wire and a 200 amp breaker? One of you'se knows what I'm talking about, give up some knowledge ya selfish bastards.

I would be interested in this run. I have a Cpap also and with the remote camping I run 3 batteries (270amp hr) plus solar in my rig. You could definitely get power from my rig for you Cpap. amazingly they make DC adapters for the cpaps that are really efficient and cheap - check your manufacture. if you don't run the humidify they don't use much power, the humidifier uses 100watts. Taco alternators charge batteries really fast too FYI. I did 11 nights stationary with the humidifier no problem.
