Found a little mud out on the county roads today!

Charlie linked the OEM system a few posts back. It is an excellent upgrade!

You plan to upgrade your UCAs anytime soon? I went with the UniBall design and find the articulation is much smoother. Huge bummer about the rear upper shock mount, but that's Clovis. I love my Taco but I am jealous of the color!

I'm considering it. Recommendations? Icon? Total Chaos? Being somewhat of a n00b, I'm not quite sure what I'm missing out on running the stock UCAs.

Finally swapped out the OEM spare with a 275/70/16 and SEMA rim to match the rest of the truck. Was worried there wouldn't be enough clearance but it stowed without issue...still have about an inch between the tire and exhaust.

Here's a shot of the truck as it looked when delivered on December 2nd 2017. Purchased from Street Toyota in Amarillo, TX for $40,473.89 out the door. Picked up immediately after dropping off my '13 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI as part of the settlement/buyback program.

Nice!!! Future truck..picked up December 2017. lol seriously though...awesome truck!! It was my first color choice but it just wasn't available. I was just going to compliment you on an amazing garage until I realized it was the dealer pick up area. lol

Yep....if that was my garage the floor would be littered with pull-off parts and kids toys....;)

Had been wanting to figure out a low cost storage solution for my Scepter MFCs and saw @Gabassman 's method he mentions here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cheap-and-easy-water-jug-mount.329167/#post-8665195

Toughest part is finding D-rings with a single hole, so I just bought a set of surface mount D-rings from Harbor Freight and cut out the middle bits that I needed with a Dremel. Following that, I painted them and screwed them in using the existing hardware from the bedside storage boxes.

So these (and some smaller ones from Tractor Supply):

    Became these...

Sweet rig. That winch mount makes the front end look much nicer.

Pics from packing/prepping for the trip I took with the NM group this weekend...It's really amazing what you can cram into a UWS box.

Awesome trip to Mills Canyon, NM. Finally got to test out crawl control....works as advertised.

A little bit of battle damage from the "impassable" west exit from Mills Canyon. Honestly, pretty lucky to get out of there with only this to show for it (aside from a lot of NM pinstripes.)

Was bound to happen sooner or later anyway....time for sliders.

Prior to purchasing my truck I briefly (really briefly) considered the Z71/Trail Boss version of the Chevy Colorado. After running across one in a parking lot the other day, I'm pretty happy I did my homework beforehand...there's no way it could even come close to tackling some of the terrain I've been through in the Taco.

Great build, love the truck and what you've done! You get a chance to use your winch on your trip?

Sure did! Never needed to use it to self-recover, but it came in really handy (along with a couple of snatchblocks) to move boulders out of the way that were blocking the trails. Couldn't have done it without the winch!

Truck looks great, love the additional D rings in the bed, I'm going to have to do that.

FYI my sliders are CBI bolt on if youre going that route.
