el paso...Charcoaler calling it quits!!

just got the news. wish i had gotten a #1 with onion rings during the T-day holidays..but i didnt

i found them selling their secret sauce..but $8 is kinda steep.

Charcoaler is a local drive thru burger place in El Paso. Its been around a long time
Burgers are small and usually burnt to a crisp, about the size of a biscuit.

 

That sucks love that place the owners were cool I worked for him like a year chill job. Now that I'm older it would be cool for the el paso toyotas to hang out there all together in the parking lot would be cool

 

I understand this is old, and most of you may have this information already but, Charcoaler is back! It was bought and reopened.

Now whether it will survive Covid is another story.

Quality is good, I have never had a bad experience there. So far.

We could now! Park and hang out in our trucks to keep up the social distancing!

 

Talk about bringing a thread out of the dark up to the front.

You did good. I miss those burgers. I did however buy a few jars of their burger sauce.

in EP. 1st stop whataburger, 2nd stop charcoaler, 3rd- Lucy’s.

 

Ha it’s all good, never been that far west,,,may half to put it on the list of stops when I go that way.

 

Good List! My Mom's first stop is always Whataburger too! Locals would add Chico's too but I'm not that big of a fan. It's a local thing, like Gold Star Chili where I grew up.

It's worth a stop if you're rolling through!

 

Lured by title. Disappoint. Expecting a different kind of “Charcoaler”.

 

I really want to explore way out west on about a 2 week adventure, no plans just a general sense of where I want to go.

 

Is that Mexican food joint that's connected to the Kings X bar on Mesa St. still around? Damn fine hangover food. Haven't been through that area of the country since 92'...

No. Have family & friends from El Paso. When I was going to school in Austin, I would go to El Paso to visit & hang. Damn fine Mexican food...
