It's very sad. I didn't know the girls great, but I've known them for probably a good 6 years. I would still see them at school and out at parties and would always say hello. The driver, who lived, I know very well. She's currently in the hospital and is facing some monster charges.

Red Sands you almost definitely need 4x4, actually. I've never gone in anything but 4x4, as do all my friends. Only time any buddy of mine ever went w/o it, they got stuck.

I'm itching to see what my truck can do as well...
Maybe we can plan a week or two in advance and get several of us together.

Nah, no one got together. We could all get together this weekend if you want. I haven't driven the truck in a few days cause of some power steering noise that arose few days backs. First gens have problems with power steering fluid filter clogging.

    You're the only chick lol.

^^^ This. A prerunner will ultimately never be able to handle the mud, snow, very soft sand that a 4x4. If you planned on jumping dunes with LT then by all means, keep your prerunner.

That said, it'll also be expensive to sell your second gen and buy a 4x4 second gen, I presume. How much offroading do you realistically do? Is this your DD or your toy?

    I'm down tomorrow (Saturday)
