Took a Sunday drive with our friends.


And got stuck in the snow. lol

 

Ordered some new knobs for my 4wd shifters.

 

Did some maintenance today.




Rebuilt CVs... not my favorite.



Adjusted the driver coilover to level things out a bit.



Rewlded the bracket that came off with the skidplate.



And burned in a set of @eimkeith tower reinforce plates.

Got my new 4wd shifter knobs.

 

New shoes were obtained today.

 

Last time we were "out" Indecided I'd had about enough of the puney speaker on the base unit of the HAM. (under the seat)

So I ordered an external.


It fits pretty nice right here, for now.

 

Re-covered the cracked center console arm rest.



Found a better mounting location for the external speaker for the HAM.



Mounted the molle panelss on the door panels. (been hanging out on my shop bench for a couple months)

 

Had a friggen blast today!




Only had to be pulled out once... but as soon as we aired down, no problems.

 

But boy... did we put in some work!




It was this big assed mutherfucker (and it getting late) that turned us around.

So... I'm through killing myself in the heat for the day. Now to relax in the cool A/C. Figure it's a good time to update this thing.

 

Since we've been back from the Cross Country trip... here's some of the things we've been up to.




Camped with some good friends @Blue Canary @essjay @Motofox @Twizted @OneGiraffe

Made some new friends @bot102 @NorCalTroy


This was just a one nighter for us... but it was needed and TOTALLY worth it! Best one night trip we've ever made. Hands down.

 

We kind of "had a blast"

 

Got a bit closer to doing 5.29s. This allows me to send in a front diff for regear and locker without pulling mine. So mine can stay on the road and I don't have to deal with the core charge.

Did some prep work for next weekend's adventure today.

Maintenance and organization is today's goal.

We got WAY out of the best practices with last years complete stupidity and not camping.



Going through the tool kit, ordering the missing pieces.



Burned this one last trip airing up. I need to start being a little more patient while airing up.

Also, made some room in one of the truck boxes by relocating all the straps and 2 emergency blackets to the Pelican on the roof.



Rearranged the molle panel and pouches since Jen wants the fridge on the driver side. The panel was on my seat, but with the fridge there, it was too hard to get to anything.



Made a spot for a new pouch. I figure smalls like fuses and assorted stuff would work in this pouch... ordered.

Fixed the arms on @foxrcing07 new, improved coil compressor. (two of them were facing the wrong way.

Put the legs I made for the old one, on to the new one.




Little crooked now, but they'll do the job. Also hosed down all the threads with Tri Lube.
