I think it'll look badass. LT front end with 3 link rear. I'm just saying..... Because I want a 3 link suspension one day.... Maybe I'll cut the current leaf spring front and go 3 link or keep the front as is and go 3 link rear instead.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
With the amount of weight I typically carry, and me wanting to keep the road manners as best I can with it... I've come to the realization a leaf set up would be better and more stable for me.

I've got a really stout set of Chevy 63s that I'll be using.

While true, the "just link it bro" crowd forgets the amount of work it takes to set one up, tune it, and the potential loss of utility depending on what you do, where as leafs are pretty brainless and quick to swap in.

Interested to see what the OP comes up with leaf spring wise with that big ass truss!

Not probably like that Ruff Stuff Ubolt Eliminator.

Definately like the Ruff Stuff Eliminator = Ordered. Will pick up with the housing and the rest of the order lol

not yet - but I bought a DC (complete roach, but the dog appreciates the room) so we'll be finding out here in the semi-near future.

Right on... I'm putting a bunch of irons in the fire with other projects. Was debating whether I should add that one to the list. But, I may just wait till you do a test run.

    Made a parts run today.

Mine is top left  (those trusses are just sitting on the housing, I asked them to leave everything off)

    20221201_130111.jpg

Winter project pile is getting bigger.

    20221201_180810.jpg

No, I'm not leaving it standing. It rained on me all the way home. Letting all the water dry off. Then I'll shoot a little WD40 on it. (3/8 wall tube isn't really going to care if it stands there though)

Made a second stop as well.

@Dalandser you're big in to the LT scene. Who would be a good person to talk to about Solo LT vs Solo XLT?

7 inch wider front end is better (for me) than 9 inch wider. I don't do desert bombing etc. But 10 inch coil overs sound really cool. But the price of XLT (finished) is exponentially higher than it would be for LT. Is XLT even worth it? I can't make up my mind, lol.

Remember how tight the Dusy was with stock travel? Picture doing that being 9" wider. I did it with a buddy that was 3.5" over. It was the perfect reminder for me why I never bothered with LT. lol

Ya, I've 100% made up my mind not to go with XLT

7 inches wider is still wider than I'd like, but it will give me more travel. And going wider in the back should give me the ability to outboard the shocks and go with longer shocks without having to fuck up what I've got going on in the bed.

Now I have to figure out if the adjustable UCAs on the Solo LT kit are worth the $1000 difference on the LT kit. Because that's the only difference I see between the Solo kit and the JD Fab kit.

I came to the conclusion that +2" wasn't worth it and +3.5" was too wide for the wheeling I did. If your set on 3.5" I'd say go for it. Solo makes some REALLY nice shit. I'm sure you'll be happy with there kit. Spendy but buy once, cry once comes to mind.

Ya, the buy once cry once keeps coming up in my mind... A LOT right now.

Considering I'm on, I think the 4th interation of the front end build... and I'll be doing the 3rd interation of the rear.

But it's been a process... to figure out what I want, don't want... need, don't need.

I'm definately doing the Solo Spindles and LBJ/steering upgrade.

But... the grand savings between the Solo arms or the JD arms could damn near pay for the entire brakes on the rear axle.

I'll probably go ahead and go Solo... But I'm putting A LOT in on this truck this winter.

    Dual case
    LT front
    Custom locked rear axle

This is a go big or go home year for me. I know others have done a lot more, in probably a lot less time. But, for me, chips are going in to the center of the table.

It's all part it. I don't have a rig right now because as much as I loved my 3rd Gen 4Runner I finally admitted it couldn't take the abuse I put it through. So now the game is building the new rig in my head then finding the money for an Ultra rig. lol
