That's the way shit like this should be handled by all shops. Mistakes happen. It's what a company does when they happen that makes or breaks the company. That response just made you guys my go to if I ever manage to get my hands on a 2nd Gen.

Yet sucks when a customer gives them a hassle and they're here offering top notch customer service.

Good to see them stepping up to take care of Matt!

For sure. @El Taco Diablo I'm sure you'll get it sorted and there's plenty of time before wheeling season.

LOL... Here I was thinking time is running out.

Wheelin season "starts" in mid Feb this year... hoping to have things pretty sorted by King of Hammers.

And I have this LT to get finished and a rear axle to build... I have no real good idea what the F I'm doing on this axle.

I'm pretty sure I'm going in the right direction with it, but still not 100% sure on some of the important parts.

Well you do have a VERY knowledgeable guy in @81Trekker here. I was seriously considering buying his LT'd 1st Gen he sold about 6 months ago. That thing was well built and cheap as fuck for the work he put into it. I'm betting if you ask he'll help you with those important decisions. Between that and @Kwikvette welding skills you should be able to make that work. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I’ve said it a million times but we are no different than everyone else on this forum. We might have fancy tools and a little more practice but at the end of the day we all work for a living and then after work/weekends work on our own stuff.

Right on brotha. The piece was super well made tho. I can attest, there was full penetration in those welds

Glad I had a good chunk of DOM that ended up being the exact right size for the top piece. I was able to bevel it where it nested right in to the center hole in the top of the coil bucket.

We gapped our welds where the bolt heads are, from the top. But we welded it all the way around from the the under side of the top plate.

If these coil buckets give out... I've got WAAAAY worse things to worry about.

Ok... maybe this is a dumb question.

The 3 items with red lines on them. Do I just remove these?

I'm just running a single 16 inch 650 pound coil. (at least for now... I'm new at all this fancy shit)

The big one is called a spring separator in the diagram, so I figure that's for if I'm running a second coil.

The 2 small ones are threaded and I don't see them on the diagram.

I'm assuming I lose those 2 rings and the spring separator to run it like the standard travel coil overs I'm running now.
