Smog definitely is an issue.

 

Did some more ordering the last couple days.

The rest of the front brakes are on the way. GX470 rotors and pads are on the way.



Rear shocks are finally ordered. Ended up going with 2.5 smooth body, resi, with adjusters. Bypasses just weren't going to work with my application.



Ended up going through Poly... saved almost $500. I'll run these for a while as I'm doing some research on doing my own shock tuning.

The 7 inch shackles came in the other day, so I should be able to get the perches set for good this time.

 

Ok... I'm thinking about getting in touch with this dude.

If I went to look at them, I'd bring a Toyota Hub and lugs to make sure they aren't bored for 5/8 lugs.

What else should I be aware of? I'm looking at the rings with the welded guards don't really like that. It doesn't even protect the valves because the valve is in the middle of the wheel (which is one of the things I do like about Raceline)

How much and what are they?

 

I'm toying with the idea of 42s and TR but not 100% committed.

They're painted flat black 17x8.5 Raceline Monster beadlock w/ 3.75BS and painted red steel rings. They had their fair share of rock love.

I would stay away from those for a street rig. Can't imagine balancing a wheel with a chunk of metal welded onto one side like that would go well.

 

What're those semi-circular pieces for? I figured they were for valve stem protection, but they're on the opposite side of the wheel and buried between the spokes.

Ya, dude is way too proud of those things. Won't come down at all on the price. If he would have come down to 1500 I would have picked them up yesterday. But he wouldn't, and I don't need Beadlocks.

 

Keep watching race-dezert classifieds and sell-offroad on instagram. I got 4 beadlocks and a street lock for under a g a couple years ago on ig.

 

That guard looks useless and dumb. I have dragged my beadlocks over rocks for 5yrs now and haven't even came close to the valve stem. If you can get a good deal cut them off or get new rings.

 

Why not get new? These guys are what I was gonna go with. Vet owned and operated.
