    Good morning
I have a 2006 Tacoma Prerunner four door and I am having issues with the electric door locks on both rear doors. Both front doors unlock with the key fob and with the control on the door panel, but neither of the rear doors will unlock with either control. Any ideas on what would be causing this?
    Thanks

Sounds like you lost power to the rear lock switches. Will need to check for a break in the wires or loose plug at switches. Best to pull the drivers door panel and check for this.

check your fuses. front and rear doors might be fused separately.

Sounds more like the door lock actuators are bad. Do the locks make any sort of noise? Or do the lock switches twitch when you try to unlock/lock them? Wiring problems are not usually the problem with Toyotas. But hey, you never know, I would just pull the door panel & check for power and ground at each of the door lock acutators just to be sure.

    Thanks everyone for the feedback,
I checked the fuse box and only see one 20amp fuse for the door locks, so I assume all four are on the same fuse, which was not blown.

NelsonTacoma, I dont' get anything at the locks, no noise or twitching. Seems odd that the actuator would go out on both rear doors, but something is definitely not right. I will try and pull the door panels tomorrow and check the voltages.

    Thanks again.

No problem.:D I do agree, both going out at the same time is odd. Let us know what you find.

I doubt its the actuators. Its no voltage. Check voltage at the fuse block or door panel. I think its fuse block pin 22. I think its the green/yellow wire that feeds the rear door locks. Confirm by taking one of the rear door panel off, then find it at the fuse block and check voltage.

Child locks only prevent the door from being opened from the inside door handle.
