Seriously. I can't get ahold of them either. Oh well, I cut the cutout out and put pipe back in it's place. It didn't sound good and was illegal here in Cali due to noise.

You can make 4cyl. & 6cyl. loud, but then they are only noisy, I've never heard a 4 or 6 that sounded "good". Just my opinion

:puke:This is what gives young people a bad reputation. Note: I also hate those fuckin Harleys with their silly noise pipes.

im aware. i dont think you understand what im getting at. I was getting the same dumbass reactions on the post as i am on this post...just saying it seems like this forum is more of everyone saying that something is stupid. people come here to ask questions to modify their truck the way they want to. not the way you want to. if someone on here wanted to c notch their frame and drop it on the ground and even though its not for me i still would try to be helpful to them with any knowledge i have on the mod they are wanted to do. just seems to beat the point of this damn website if all people wanna do is talk shit.

I just went and read the post, people were giving their opinion, I’m sure if you would’ve posted about having the gears already available in the first post you would’ve gotten a different answer.

Sometimes you're going to end up with responses to posts you've made, that are less than helpful. Sometimes it is because what is being posted, is a very opinionated subject (like Tacoma exhaust). The other thing to realize is that it is hard to judge someone's character or emotion just by how they respond. Some people don't mean to offend, but simply don't have the capability to write without it feeling demeaning when read, regardless of their intention. Sometimes people simply mis-read things and add emotion that shouldn't be there. It sucks, but you just gotta learn to deal with it and not get defensive about anyone's response or post. If you don't like what they are saying, just move on and ignore them.

Overall, I'd just like to say, don't let this forum put a bad taste in your mouth so soon. I've found it extremely helpful in some cases. There legitimately are people here who want to help others and who want to utilize the knowledge within this massive database to learn and educate themselves.

Onto the topic of your original post - here's my opinion....take it or leave it.
I've been around hot rods and custom cars / trucks my whole life. Some engines, just don't sound good enough to warrant installing cutouts on. There are very few v6 engines that I feel could pull it off. Give me a cam'd out LS or small block or blown big block...then yes... I could easily see cutouts being awesome. I just think you're likely to produce an annoying, god awful sound with cutouts on a Tacoma. Resulting in a situation that is going to piss off people, make them dislike you and have an overall more negative affect that it is worth dealing with.

I'm running a Black Widow, 10" Widow Maker on my truck currently. It's not too loud, but it sounds decent to me. I'm still on stock manifolds and cats as well. Once upgraded to long tubes (catless) I will probably end up installing a resonator as well. There is little to no interior drone, and it makes driving it a lot nicer. I've gotten multiple compliments on the exhaust tone as well. When it's floored, it gets a little raspy, but not too bad. I'd recommend just putting a reputable muffler on your truck and calling it a day TBH.

Once again, this is my opinion, take it or leave it. Just don't let it or anyone else on here get under your skin....

When you ask for help on a technical or mechanical issue you will get many "informed" responses to your query. When you ask for an "opinion" regarding: which tire, air filter, exhaust system, wheel, color, seat cover, ad nauseum.......anything that starts with "what do you guys think about this?", you are fair game for being so naive.
