    -35 this morning.... "Punkin" took 2 more revolutions than normal before she fired up.....don't blame her..!

    Put the heater to HI and defrost button ON...seat heaters ON.... fan on FULL.... Went back to get the "ole" lady... truck was throwing some heat by the time we got back.... about 4 minutes..+-

    It's a nice addition to have this electric heater in my 2016..!!

    Way to go Toyota...!!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I have a 2017 TRDOR with the automatic climate control. I normally just set it to automatic and then set the desired temperature. The fan, then, adjusts speed as necessary.

    When you say "Blower switch on", is it considered "on" if the HVAC is in automatic mode? Or, do I have to manually position the blower switch to some particular speed in order to activate the electric heater?

    I think as long as the Temp is set to "High" you should be good to go.

    I think temp on high but i don't know if it has to be on auto also. and it need to be below a "certain" temp outside for it to go on, you cant check it at 45 out i think.

    Just discovered this little gem this morning! I usually leave the fan off until the trucks up to temperature to prevent blowing cold air. Must have left it on this time and when I got to the truck a few minutes later, there was glorious warm air defrosting the windshield! It's the little things that make me smile... Temperature was around 29F with about half an inch of snow on the windshield when the truck was cranked.
