Just heard from the dealer….delivery expected 3/8-3/14….starting to go from to

 

Jruss when was your build date and where are you located trying to time mine out. Mine was to be built on 2/14 and in AZ.

 

According to the temporary VIN it looked like it should have been built week 3 of the year (late January I’m assuming) but was pushed back about 2-3 weeks and built the first week of February. We heard on February 8th that it was built during the prior week.
At that time we had also heard that it might be towards the end of March delivery due to shipping via rail, port issues, etc. etc., so this is a little sooner than worst case scenario I suppose……I guess the worst case scenario is that the train derails or catches fire on the trip to the dealer.
I’m in Albuquerque buying from a dealer in Farmington. Awesome service by the way if anyone is looking for a good deal; Webb Toyota - Grant is a great guy with loads of knowledge and experience.

 

The other day I was driving across wyoming and she was her typical hurricane category 3 winds, about every 3 miles a semi was tipped over. Made me wonder, what happened if your truck is on that. Does toyota replace your allocated not purchased truck?

 

I doubt it. I suspect they let you know whatever the next color that they get allocated, tell you it’s gonna be 6 months, and take it or leave it.

 

My local dealer has a 2022 electric lime Pro on the lot, that is one bright ass color lol. I'm wondering why it has the silver steel SR rims on it, they really throw the whole thing off

 

They likely are going to put a bigger tire in the pro wheels and mark it up

 

You likely know, but the 4runner and Tacoma aren’t the same colour green for the 2022 pro models

 

We looked at green 4runner went with midnight black which I didn’t realize prior is a very dark metallic blue. The green runner is to yellowish more Kia like

 

I have an old silver sport and lunar rock 4runner both, very mutted colors.

I'm 44 have 2 kids/wife/mortgage and wanted a good "midlife crisis " color.

Good news is, I have wife approval to project build the old sport now. Thinking 3 inches, rear locker, and turbo

 

I figured that when I get it, if I hate, I’ll sell it for $75K; keep my old Honda Accord and pocket $25K for about 3 hours work on the phone with a dealer.
