Electric outlet in bed of ‘21 OR

Hello everyone,

I have a 2021 TRD OR. I want to try and use the electric outlet in the bed. But know nothing about electricity. Other than don’t grab both ends at the same time… LOL.
I have a small air pump that I want to use to inflate some air mattresses. The label on the pump reads
120V-60Hz
235W. 1.96A
Would this be ok to use and the switch on the truck reads 400W AC 120V 100W.

This would be my first time using that plug.

Anything under 400w is fine assuming the initial draw is also less than 400w

 

I've used a similar pump for my air mattress using that outlet. The truck must be idling.

 

No problem. Just start the truck and press the switch to kick it into 400W mode. It'll handle a 200-ish watt pump with ease.

 

Thank you everyone. I’ve read it on the manual. But wanted to make sure. Too many numbers involved with electrical stuff. So I’ll keep it running in park. While using the pump.

 

How can u use the electrical outlet while driving?

 

I don't have children, but I think most take to the noisy kid that won't shut up, and stick him in the bed to keep the daiquiri machine plugged in while driving.

 

great for mobile detailing if you are in a rush to be somewhere

 

Charge power tool batteries, cook dinner in a crock pot, etc...
