    Oh this?

"That’s not an accurate representation. Most of those across the US are at car dealers. Sure you may be able to charge your car there if getting service work or if you’re a customer. There’s 236 million cars registered. Not nearly enough charging stations if those were mostly electric cars. Not to mention the grid in most areas can’t currently handle the load and capacity"

I was referring to the most charging stations are at car dealers and you can only charge if you you are getting service there. That seems not factual at all. but since you work at an auto group I'll take your word for it.

Look at the map from the link the one guy posted. Plugshare.com. Pretty much all the pins on the map in my area were at actual Dealerships. Perhaps it’s different in your area, but in mine they are. That’s a fact. And it’s also a fact that your not just going to be able to roll up to a Honda dealer and plug in your Chevy any time you want. Most employees won’t say anything but that’s not why those chargers are there. They are for the vehicles on the lot, vehicles being sold to customers and vehicles that are in for service work. They aren’t stations where customers or the general public can come and pay for the charge. They are open charging ports powered from the dealership. Think of it like their coffee. They try to keep it limited to their customers and employees. Although we had a few people who would randomly come in and grab coffee and cookies and walk out.

I never said you can roll up to any dealership, i said you can go to a Tesla dealer and charge there when they're open. The one near me allows any Tesla 24/7 to charge there. That's a fact. As i said I am not sure what other car companies do but I know what Tesla does. And I see your point.

There’s not even a Tesla dealer in my area. There is a Gigafactory that produces pretty much nothing. And 2 super chargers they put in the area for a few of the cars in the area. People around here have Tesla’s but no place to take them. Service is all done mobile.

Even Montana benefits from California's ways. What am I going to do with my 1954 jeep! :) Hey, let's race our jeep/cruisers while we still can! :D

Our office omplex has well over 800 people working in it. The building was smart and put solar panels on the roof of the parking garage. The chargers are not free but are competitively priced. If you only need a top off you move your car once done as the longer you leave it charged in the more it costs you.

As I said previously, putting in charging stations everywhere is easy, especially at retail places with large parking lots. Yes, the initial outlay to put solar panels above the parking lot is expensive but that retail center will cut it's electric bill with utility, it then can also charge those plugging in their cars.

Recycling is catching up and cost is going down. Battery technology is probably one of the fastest growing industries as whoever can figure out how to do it better, cheaper and lighter is going to make a mint.

You're not thinking about this with an open mind enough or seeing the strides that are already being made.

I’m sure at some point they will put in an actual dealership/service center. As for the Tesla plant, That’s a joke. Only reason they are still there is because of the agreement with the state. I don’t think the Tesla roofs are gonna take off, at least for several years. And Panasonic already pulled out of the deal and the plant. The whole thing is looking like a failure. They’d be better off producing cars out of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think new construction in Ca. mandates solar panels?

Just the plant is a failure or Tesla itself is a failure?
