I'm not really worried about the current risks, they go away as we learn... Same thing with gas engines at first

Yea, not holding my breath. How much of the 2T are we allotting to electrification of cars. Think about the millions and millions of gas pumps that need to be swapped out. That's more than a couple billion alloted

I didn't ask, but in my opinion Tesla should encourage rescuing them to support future Tesla sales. Repeat customers are an important part of business success.

Thanks, will watch when I’m out of my meeting. But in the first minute it says EVs are 10 times LESS likely to catch fire.

I think I have only seen one or two people say they wouldn't get an EV. Maybe you were triggered by people having a polite discussion and not fawning over everything EV, and discussing what will be needed to make that leap into the wonderful world of tomorrow!

Will the batteries be supplied by the same supplier of OEM batteries that have failed?

Glad I was part of the dinosaur engines. It was a blast and always loved the sound of performance.
As funny as it sounds the future seems quite boring to me with machines taking over everything for humans.
Life will become a spectator sport.
    Yes I'm an old dog.

I definitely like the sound of a proper ICE engine V8 or F1 engine on TV or in person. But I am looking forward to the death of all Harley's with open pipes. They can't die soon enough.

You didn't mention Turbo inline 6 with an open waste gate and I for one am offended.

Load pipes save lives! I would rather see the type of people that incessantly rev their engines, whether car, truck, sport bike, or cruiser, go the way of the dodo. But to each their own.

No comments on cold weather yet. If you live anywhere where there is winter, the cold drastically cuts the range on the battery. In some cases close to 50%. I'm sure the tech will improve over time, but that's still a huge loss in range come winter time.

I don't know why you wrongfully assumed that I'm anti EV by my post. I plan on my next vehicle being an EV (and keeping my Tacoma). Everyone that thinks ICE is going to keep going forever is a fool.

I was referring to the fact that this thread is 9 pages long with zero mention of the electric Toyotas the OP posted articles about. Every EV thread on here turns into exactly this conversation. Just a debate whether or not people like EVs with little constructive discussion and lots of incorrect assumptions on both sides.

winter is awful for an ev. The one I drive the range disappears quick. More of an improvement needed in this area for sure.

Read my comment again. I never said and or assumed you were one of the people against EVs. You said electric cars were a trigger word. So I mentioned only 1 or 2 people had been so triggered as to declare they would never own an EV.
And while yes, most of the comments have not mentioned the Toyota Tacoma Electric Vehicle specifically. Valid points have been made on both sides of the discussion about whether or not the technology will be there to make as capable a vehicle as the ICE Tacoma.

And to this part of your comment what do you want us to say specifially about the BEV Tacoma mentioned in the article for all of two or three lines? The article basically said it was coming and it will probably be hybrid and BEV, and if so it will be a light duty/lifestyle vehicle. Don't be so negative and if you want to see more discussion specifically on the BEV Tacoma why don't you post something relevant?
