I found on Amazon a PopnLock electric tailgate lock and release that is tied into the front door locks. Anyone ever did one and would recommend it? Can you tell me how it was wired to the right door. I am thinking the instructions that come in the box are usually vague and written in international not english.

    Hi, and welcome to TW!

The best way to find if information has been posted, is to use the "search" function in the upper right corner. Its right next to "quick links"

    Here's a link:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/search.php?searchid=4805751

Many people have used them, I am going to buy one myself.

You can also use google to search for "Electric Tailgate Lock"

I have heard of many people using the Pop'n'lock brand, but there is also another one called Dynolock

I have an 06 Trd 4x4 6 speed access, the wiring diagram from popnlock is wrong. It's the 2 solid blue wires, 1 from each connector into drivers side door. They say blu/wht and blu/pink.

I have one installed on my truck. If you wire it properly you can make it unlock with the passenger doors. That way it doesn't unlock every time you open the drivers door.
    Just my 2cents.
