Electric tape in the engine?

    Brought home a new '23 TRD OR last Thursday and when I first looked in the engine I noticed a lot of electrical tape (see picture).

    Just checking to see if this is normal.

    And it really not quite the typical "electrical tape". It holds up better in high-heat environments. Normal.

    Looks like an ECN. I bet it’s high temp tape so it is what it is. Looks neat

    Normal for all manufacturers, not household electricians tape either, it is made specifically for the automotive application.

    Thanks everyone. I don't mean to sound like a dork, but it's pretty cool to have access to such a large amount of collective knowledge. Super glad (so far) that I bought a Tacoma!
