Electrical fault help please.

    It's also the reason I actually bought the extra warrantee. I may be wasting money but peace of mind is worth it.

    When you do that shrink you should join the wires in a line so the shrink slides right over. Do you have the temp sensor ?
    If you had the regular mirror up there you don't have 12v acc up there and need to run it from down below.

    No temp sensor.

    And during the repair they were soldered as you describe. This has been a fun learning process.

    Also I had the regular auto dimming mirror befor this.
