Well, that throws us a curve.
I’ll have to look at diagrams for a T4R, let me look and get back to you.

Might as well share it. That way we are all working off the same diagrams.

Interesting. The ECM directly controls power on the T4R.....
    Which tells us a lot.

We have a power issue to the ECM.

    Power or Ground either one.

Well this got complex in a hurry, we can probably solve it but I need to sit down with wiring diagrams and look this over.

Just so we're clear on what we're working with we have a 2005 4wd 4runner with a 2009 Tacoma engine and an 07 2wd 4runner engine harness correct?

This one is going to be fun.

    But let's hope it's a power issue

I agree on the power or ground ECM.

I'm pretty sure on the power to 20A EFI but let me go double check rite quick to confirm.

My bad on the complexity but you are definitely appreciated more than you know...much obliged.

Well get it figured out one way or another thanks to your expertise.

I have TIS so I can get whatever we need, I just don't have time to ATM. Give me an hour or so.

Let's make sure we are dealing with a PCM issue first.
Go down and unplug the Neutral Safety switch, Check pin 4 (purple wire) for power WHILE CRANKING.
If no, power. On to the ECM.

I know this is stupid. As I am 99% sure you'll have no power.

FWIW, this is why I think it's going to be an ECM issue.
As the ECM sends power to the Neutral switch and the Starter Relay

I don't mean the ECM is bad. I mean, we likely have an issue to the ECM. (wiring)

But still do the test I asked in post 36 if you can.

Are you sure pin 4 is purple and not pink on 4Runner?

My diagram is showing pink on pin4 of NSS going to E5 pin 8 on ECM.

    Is that right?
