Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
Moral of the story is, back to the basics is never a bad option. I've been gutting my 2019 a little at a time and pin byvlin and wire by wire programming it to my needs, not the designers. In my mind, that means when I botch up and something isn't working, only I'm responsible and can fix it right.

Hi! I have the same problem I dealt with last year: driving through super-flooded roads (out of necessity) let water into the BSM right sided harness. I lost power to my heat and fan system as well. My drying and wrapping of the harness lasted for 1 year now it's a problem again.. I took the cap off of the BSM plate and its caked in corrosion. It hasn't worked for years so I don't care about it, but I NEED the fan/heat system. So if i dry off the harness, pack it with die-electric grease and heat shrink it off, my fan/heat should still work?? TIA!

Thanks for comments about a low battery, sounds like it could be my problem.

I get a check engine code for thermostat and then the trac off light will randomly come on. My mechanic buddy said to clear it and watch the temp gauge and let him know Sunday at church. I haven’t done any electric work and the battery is 5 years old so am optimistic that’s it.

Is this a 3rd gen "feature" only, or does it also affect 2nd gens / 2.5 gens?

Quick follow-up for anyone who may get the same issue. It was a low battery. I cleared the code (p0128) and found the battery was low. Just not low enough to have any other indication. Charged it and no warning lights after two days. My mechanic buddy said the trac off light will sometimes trip for no other reason than another indicator light.

No, not the OP. I jumped in to thank a couple posters who suggested a low battery as I had my own electric gremlins. It turned out to be my problem.
