Okay so I bought a light bar with a halo in it and I wired everything up with relays and fuses that came with it. The halo will only come on when the truck is off, when the primary light bar lights are on and after the truck has warmed up but not moving. It should stay on full time since its wired to its own harness and switch but doesnt. When the truck accelerates ( push down on the pedal a little bit even when in park) and also when I first start the truck the light bar shuts off and doesnt come on. What causes this?

Did you run power to the battery or somewhere else?

We would have to see either pics or a diagram of how you wired it, or any sort of diagram that came with whatever harness(s) you used.

Well since we're not there to diagnose, all we can really offer is that it's wired incorrectly.

Start over and re trace your steps

Check your grounds. First off, that a mess of wires so it might be hard to diagnose. If you look at each circuit individually and they are both wired correctly, my money might by on a faulty unit (lightbar). Maybe try removing the relays from the mounting bolt? Since they are essentially small electro magnets, being in that orientation (face to face) might be causing some interference? That's a far reach I know, but it's worth checking out too.

So I checked everything. I think I came up with the problem. The positive wire to light bar itself is what I believe powers halo. But I dont under stand that because wouldnt having the halo on alone power the entire light bar. Correct me if im wrong

I'm no expert, but shouldn't you have two power wires going to the lightbar? One for the bar itself, and another for the halo?

Also, I had my relays mounted in the exact spot and orientation and had no issues.

Halo's are usually seperate from the light itself,

Its hard to make out what you got going on in those pics. I see 3 power wires going direct to battery...are all 3 coming from a wire off your harnesses? Or is the 3rd a separate accessory from the LED bar/halo?

    Where are your switches???

here's is a diagram that is basically a method on how to have it wired. This type of diagram is what I use universally for my relayed accessories. Ignore some of the nonspecific stuff in parentheses.

Your relay will have numbered terminals...follow this for those numbers. I bet your LED bar and halo have separate power wires, but share a common ground. I'm not 100% on that though since you don't have a wiring diagram that came with the kit for me to see.

30: FUSED 12V+ from battery to relay
87: 12V+ to LED bar 12V+ (should be same for halo running off its own relay)
86: 12V+ from your switch to relay to act as a trigger
    85: GROUND wire to GROUND

Then you should have a ground wire coming off your LED bar that you run to ground.

Again you didn't post a pic up of your switch....but the switch typically has 12V+ input and an output that then goes to your relay (pin 86 as mentioned above)

Okay the light bar has its own realy and wiring and halo has its own. It will work sometimes. It flickers mostly. This is weird but sometimes when I turn the ac on at full blast it usually comes on like it should when the truck is on but still not all the time and starts to flicker after a while. It acts like its not getting enough juice. Im gonna get another battery and see if the first one just doesnt have enough juice to power the truck and lightbar at the same time

So I bought another wiring harness. Still having problems but my dads friend is over. He deals with light all the time on his duck and bowfishing boats. He said he believes its because the leds in the halo are taking to much voltage when the truck is on and is causing them to not come on. Also that leds are finicky. He said to buy a load resister at any local auto parts store and that should do the trick. Does this seem about right?
