Currently planning out the wiring for scene/work lights and wanted to double check the math and bounce some ideas for what I want. Really new to electrical and want to do this right the first time with the option to easily change lights down the road. The system I'm planning for the truck will be controlled by a Switch-Pros SP-9100 on a Powertray bracket w/ blue sea fuse box/bus bar. Looking to use Anderson Powerpoles Connectors on the wiring harness so I can easily switch lights without creating a new harness (will only need to wire from the connector to the light).

For the scene/work lights, planning to get six 20W LED pods (Amazon - 4WDKing) to install on a roof rack and a bed rack with the option of potentially upgrading later on (Maybe KC 20W C2s/ BD 24W S2 Pro / 4WDKing 40W).

    Wire Length
    >30'

    Amps
    20W x 6 / 12V = 10 A (needed)
    40W x 6 / 12V = 20 A (to be safe down the road)

    Gauge
    For only 6x 20W lights - 14 AWG
    For up to 6x 40W lights - 12 AWG

    Do these numbers look correct?
Also, is having six 20W lights overkill just to light up the area around the truck? I could always dim the brightness with the switch-pros but that would mean that there's no point in even planning for the 40W lights.
