One of my co workers informed me the other day that my brake lights on my 2002 toyota tacoma where staying on. I got home and checked and sure enough they stay on but only when the running lights are turned on. If i don't turn the headlights on manually then they work fine. So i have to drive with no illuminated dash and just the less bright automatic headlights that come on no matter what. I have'nt changed or done anything to my truck recently the only thing that has changed is the temperature outside has got below freezing. Also my cruise control wont work if i turn the running lights on . I don't know if that's related or not but thought i would mention it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Sounds to me like you have a brake switch problem.

    Reserected from the dead.
I would check to make sure trailer plug is not corroded. Bad plugs do some weird things to the electrical system on our trucks.
