    Hey everyone.

I recently purchased Start-x remote start for my 2016 Tacoma SR (h-key).

During installation, in the process of interrupting the green TPMS wire, I got a spark from somehow touching something hot....

I really don't know what happened, or what it touched. or if the TPMS wire itself was hot... anyways, lesson learned, disconnect battery for ANYTHING electrical.

I proceeded with installation of remote start, and got that working.

    Now,
2 of my 3 AC Control knobs dont work. The Fan speed works, but temperature, and direction(feet, defrost, head, etc) do not work.

Also, the lights behind them are not lighting up, and the light behind the dash guages are not lighting up either.

This leads me to think it may just be a blown fuse?

I checked all fuses having to do with HTR/Air and they all seemed good.... I'm at a loss, any help would be appreciated.

There is another fuse box under the hood just in case you haven't already checked for a related fuse.

@shakerhood That is the only place I checked. Next to the ECU plugs where I was working on stuff, I did see there were relays there.

Is there another fuse box besides the one under the hood?

The fuse box cover is a bit of a MoFo to remove so take care not to break it.

Check the 5a fuse under the dash labeled “panel” top left if your looking at it. Or probe the top of the fuses with a test light both sides of the fuse should be hot with key on. See photo for clarity on where to probe.
