    I have a 2016 Tacoma 4x4 TRD, 4 door, long bed.

I was getting on the interstate the other day and all of a sudden all of the dash lights started flashing, the main computer was flickering and going on and off and the speedometer and odometer needles were fluctuating all over the place. Sounded and felt like the traction control was engaging and that the car may brake and or shut off completely. It lasted for a few seconds then normal.

I pulled over, stopped the vehicle and restarted. The check engine light stayed on and the other systems seemed to be back to normal. I had the truck towed to the local Toyota dealership where i bought it and they ran a diagnostic check.

    They found this:
Error code P01152 - Coolant Temp Sensor 1 stuck in open

They replaced the sensor and said that was all they found wrong.

    Does that seem right???

I'm no mechanic but would a faulty coolant temp sensor cause all the electrical issues. I asked them about it and they said an electrical issue would NOT cause a faulty sensor but were unsure if the opposite were true.

I got my truck back and so far no issues but i'm skeptical at their conclusions. Especially when I felt the truck was going to shut down or brake on it's own when I was driving it.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you,
    Brian
