    So if we go with the stage 1 kit are we able to upgrade the alternator at a later time if needed? Or should I get a stage 2 so I can upgrade? Don't think I need a bigger alternator just yet but might sooner or later.

    You can add an alternator to the Kit at a later date, but it won't be under the GB prices. Also make sure that you consider alternator size you plan to have later, when ordering the Kit from this GB.

    Since we hit 50 what I am going to do is upgrade all of the necessary cables to 2 gauge. So the alternator cable and the fender grounds will be upgraded to 2 gauge cabling. The only cable now that will be 8 gauge is the one to the factory fuse box. That has to remain 8 gauge as there is no factory power draw that will require anything bigger.
