Are the install instructions online? If not, can they be. I have thought about this, but wanted to see what all is involved.

I can see about posting a copy of the generic PDF file I wrote up. It's good instructions if you read them while looking under the hood. lol

I don't know if I could do this or not, but can look into it. Typically I ship USPS Priority International Flat Rate. The Stage 1 Kits use a medium box which can probably fit 3, maybe 4 Kits and still fall within the weight range. Many of my customers for my bearings have "over the border" shipping locations where they just hop over the border and pick up their packages, then head back over into Canada. If perhaps you can get a few of your buddies to join up and find one who lives close to the border I can do free shipping. Otherwise my best offer for Canadian customers would be that if we get enough orders for the free shipping, I can deduct the equivalent cost for USA shipping from the Canadian costs to balance it out. I am more than willing to help, but I can't absorb the entire shipping costs when a medium box costs $39 to ship to Canada.

This is a cut and paste of the instructions. I hope it displays well in the post.

Installation instructions for Stage 2 Kit

    1. Disconnect negative cable from battery

    2. Disconnect positive cable from battery. Disconnect wire from positive cable-to-under fuse box and carefully place aside for later.

    3. Remove battery hold down, and remove battery

    4. Disconnect ground cable from existing negative cable from fender using 10mm wrench or socket

    5. Remove fuse box cover

    6. Disconnect alternator output cable from fuse box using 10mm socket

    7. Remove this cable from fuse box by sliding out the bottom of the access hole. It may be necessary to remove the small cover plate on the side of the fuse box.

    8. Unbolt negative cable from engine block under driver’s side of the engine, above the oil pan.

    9. Unbolt alternator output cable from terminal of alternator. (If replacing alternator, also disconnect Engine harness connector from back of alternator)

    10. Disconnect battery positive cable from starter.

    11. If replacing alternator, please use factory service procedures to remove original alternator, and install new alternator.

    12. In order to return the vehicle to factory conditions in the future, you can take all exposed cable ends and tape them up so that they can be reconnected to factory later.

    13. At this time take the wire that was removed from positive cable in step 2 and route it to top of fuse box where original alternator cable was removed. (Do not bolt in yet)

    14. Take new Stage 1 Wiring Kit and route cables as follows:

------a. 2 gauge long red cable to starter

------b. 2 gauge long black cable to engine block ground

------c. 4 gauge red cable to alternator charging post on alternator

------d. 8 gauge red cable to top of fuse box with other cable from Step 2 (Bolt in now)

------e. 8 gauge black cable to fender ground location at step 4

    15. Now reinstall battery, and battery hold-down

    16. Connect positive terminal to battery, and connect the blue wire to any good ground location.

    17. Connect negative terminal to battery.

Your Stage 2 Kit is now complete! Enjoy!

By the way, for those wanting to get a Stage 4 Kit, this is the dual battery tray system that works best with my Kits. It allows for the lowest price Stage 4 Kit that I build.

I haven't read all the way through the other thread, so apologies if it's been stated.

What's the warranty if any on the modded alternators?

The builder offers a 1 year 12,000 mile warranty since these are custom built units. I will ask him if he will consider extending it for the customers on the group buy, if there is enough interest for the alternators.

Also I just fielded a question about payments. With this group buy I will be submitting a digital invoice from PayPal. This is the same method I used back when I first started selling my bearing assemblies. After the GB deadline comes to a close, and I get final details on each order, I will send the invoices out. Once invoices are sent out I will allow about 3 days I think would be fair to get all payments submitted. Once they are all received I will order all the components and begin the builds.
