Yep. I need the biggest cable you have for battery-to-alternator. I already have your Stage I complete with battery terminals.
Let me know what other info you need or if you want to see my original order.
    TIA

What are you running with your stage 1 kit... have you noticed any different from the upgrade to thicker better quality wires?

I don't really have any load on it yet but i did add a 250A alternator. My main problems i had were very weak starts and also headlight dimming. The mean green starter and projectors plus stage 1 fixed all that.

a lot of toys i know but ive been saving a long time for this build.

I know a higher output alternator will help, but it shouldn't help with start up. A larger battery would help with start up. So did you notice that the start up were better after the wire change or did you add the wires with the 250 alternator same time?

If you are looking at 600W total, that is equal to 50A at full load draw. That plus the truck itself drawing around 50A with the AC on full fan speed means you can see 100A of power draw. The factory 130A alternator on the TRD and towing packages does not put out but 70A at best while at idle. So you should consider a 200A alternator. As for the lengths of the cables, I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but I do have my cables slightly longer than the factory ones to give some flexibility in installation. If you want to add bulk cable I can get you a price on that. Just will need to let me know the gauge size.

I can add an extended winch cable if needed. Just let me know what length. Also, and this is a word of warning to everyone with a winch. DO NOT ground the winch to the frame. The factory wire that grounds the frame to the battery and body is too small to run a winch. A fellow TW member found this out a year or so ago when he melted the factory cable. ALWAYS run the power as well as the ground cable directly to the battery for best results.

That's true. The alternator is pretty much transparent to performance I think until it doesn't work or gets behind.

I put it all on at once so is hard to tell what helped the most. I know my old wiring was corroded at the battery and the MG starter is pretty wicked.

I'm sure this is a good deal, but I just like to know the lengths so I know what I'm getting for the stage 1 kit. So please let me know the lengths.

For the amp gauge size. For 400W and 200W amp, say 10 gauge is plenty right? I looked at the tessco wire chart and shows 50A up to 20ft. So I like to get pricing for 10 gauge per foot. I'm not sure if 8 gauge is needed, but you tell me please.

But I also like to know 8 gauge per foot wire cost...I'm looking to make my own RTMR so I need to run from battery to inside the cab. 8 gauge is rated for 150 amp for 10 feet of wire.

I am interested in being part of the group buy hence the questions. Thanks!
