First off, my apologies for not being on here this weekend. I had two very close friends lose family members in two unrelated situations and it has not resulted in a good weekend. I will try and answer all questions that haven't been answered. I will ask this: PMs asking for prices on alternators and Stage 1 Kits cant be accurately answered until the GB is completed. Standard prices for Stage 1 Kits and alternators are in the first post of the threads though, and you can find them there.

Each length is dependent on engine type. If memory serves the Starter cable for a 3.4L engine is 64", ground is 50", Alt is 26", fuse box is 32", and fender ground is 14". The other engine sizes all have about the same lengths, but the starter cable is shorter since all the remaining engines have the starter on the left side, closest to the battery. Those I believe have about a 40" cable for the starter.
The tessco chart is based on standard battery cables. I use welding cable which can carry more current due to a larger cross section. I do not carry 10 gauge cable however, since that size is not standard for my applications. I only carry 8 gauge, 4 gauge, and 2 gauge. If you are running 400W and a 200W amp, then you would be pulling, at peak, 50A. with a 25% buffer for aiding in heat reduction and voltage drop loss I would recommend the 8 gauge. I can sell 8 gauge at .60 per foot for 20 feet, if that is the length. If you are in the group buy I will simply add this to your order.

My professional recommendation if ANYONE plans to run a winch is to go dual battery, with isolator. Why? If you get stuck in a mud hole and the engine has died, or you need to shut it off, then using the secondary battery to winch you out allows your primary battery to remain fully charged for restarting.

I would be happy to meet up with you to make measurements and calculations if you are committed. I can't do the installation at my house due to HOA rules, but we can figure it out.
Basic quote for a Stage 1 Kit capable of 1.21 Gigawatts? Hmm. That is almost 84,000,000 Amps of current. I tell you what, you get a battery to fit your Tacoma that can handle 84,000,000 Amps of current, and I will get you a price!

I have this special "Flux Capacitor" (as seen below), it should help... But let's keep all this on the DL, I don't want the Libyans finding out.

You really should delete that photo. The Libyans are pretty good at hacking. The Capacitor you have there is great for short term Gigawatt storage, but you need a battery source that can charge it up quickly, so that it doesn't overheat before you discharge it into your drive system. I know that in 25 years (I had a conversation with myself during a drug-induced dream scene) I will have built a fusion reactive system that will require simply some banana peels and apple cores, with a little beer to operate, but unless you want to wait 25 years to get it, you should really find you a large trailer for the battery back to tow behind the Tacoma.

please add my 3rd gen 4runner to the list.

id like a stage 2 with the 200 amp alternator. I've had this on my list for a long time and this is the perfect time to check it off.
