    Hey guys/gals-

I have an '18 OR - I want to do a few things electrically (basic at first, then the swan dive off the money bridge....).
Goals: - move window control for rear window to upper console, or left of steering wheel. Then use the @mesojdm ECT/knob button to control Trac-control, and maybe ECT (I've played with it once in 6k miles). meh. I'll likely add seat warmers too, so I'd like the Meso switch panel to add in the middle dash console eventually -Or just free-up slots by removing ECT and window switch.

Ask: - does the Limited and/or tech package, or prior model years actually have a different wiring harness, or, do they use an extension pigtail to relocate the window switch? Anyone played with this, or dug in? I'd like to find the part number and order the pigtail to put it up top, or on the left if possible, or extend as necessary. Also relocating the trac-control below to the shift knob mount as well...

    Thanks!

My truck is a 17 and has the rear window switch over to the left of the steering wheel, so worse case scenario is you can order a harness from a 2017.

I have considered moving the left rear window switch to the center with a meso lower replacement panel (if I'm lucky enough to get in on one).

I am planning on replacing my Qi switch for the anytimebackupcamera switch for the front and rear camera operation, and was wondering if it would be worth moving the rear window switch for passenger control aspect (or dog loves poking his head out the back window).

@Hddiesel308 Curious if moving the rear window switch is for making space on lower switch slots, or if just a personal preference...I hadn't considered moving the window switch to the upper control panel, but figured middle on lower would be easiest for both driver and passenger.

I haven't dug in and will likely dig around once I get to the front camera wiring and syncing the wiring harnesses in the back of the nav/screen unit.

Namely preference. I think it's kind of a stupid spot anyway. also the Qi and other switches are very 'willy nilly'. Anyway - look forward to updates.

What does your left cubby switch panel section look like?

Figured if it were viable down the road, we could swap switch panels from the left side...just a random thought that just popped into my head.

I have the 'cargo' light switch, rear outlet power, and auto dim; 1 horizontal, and 2 traditional vertical switches.

I realized I omitted the blank I have - mine is the same, but replace window switch with auto-dimm (idiot mode) and swap left to right. I'll have ot rip the dash apart sometime...not looking forward to that.

I've got $20 on completely different harnesses and it's based on model year. In 2018 and later, they added automatic high-beams so that switch is on the left along with the power outlet, bed light, and optional clutch start cancel.

I've had both panels apart and everything is in the wire loom. There's no indication of an extension unless there's a splice inside the loom. Typically speaking, when you have differences in a similar year you are producing at the same time, the OEM will use a splice and extension. When your entire line uses a new design, you just build the harness correctly.

Yeah - I was banking on that harness expectation..just hopeful they maybe ran both connections, for some unknown reason, or different package levels. oh well. Might have to find someone who is a harness maker....coughcoughMesocough
