Just a bunch of old crap
I'm so thrilled with these 26650 mods and the 28mm tanks you can put on them. Huge decks to work with and they hold a ton of cotton. I need that full open draw of a drip tank, can't do those RBA's anymore because the draw is too tight. These 28mm tanks dwarf any of the igo stuff due to their huge platform and ability to hold almost a mil of juice in a single dripping.

Finally switched to 100% VG, the throat and mucus problem went away and man the vapor is ridiculous with pure VG base juice.

Well, I'm new to vaping (nicotine/juice at least, vape dry herbs for years) and tried to do some research online before I went to the local smoke shop, but that was pointless. There is just so much information out there that is confused me more. What the hell is a mod or an e-mod or a v-mod... Anyway, I said screw it, I'm not buying another pack of butts and went to the smoke shop. Asked to be taken to school, and the Colombian chick behind the counter with a accent so thick I could barely understand began rattling off so much stuff I just don't know. This is some confusing freaking stuff, man, I just want to stop using cigs! Anyway, I walked out of there with a bottle of some 12% nicotine juice, and a device that best I can tell is a Kanger mini protank 3? I think she said I would have to replace coils at some point?

Anyway, maybe you guys can help me out a bit here and answer some questions...

    1. How long will a coil last me and how much does it cost to get a new one? I spent about $55 on the device and a bottle of juice, came with a charger.

    2. Will this thing leak in my pocket if I don't keep it upright? Will it leak in my truck if I leave it in there when it's hot out? Basically, will it leak and how nasty is the e-juice?

    3. How long will the battery last? I charged it last night, there are absolutely no markings on the battery section at all, none. I would consider myself a light smoker, I would go through about a half pack every day, sometime less and sometimes more.

    4. What percentages of nicotine are available? I smoked Camel Blues, so she hooked me up with some tobacco flavored e-juice in 12%.

    5. If I want to use a different flavor, how do I go about doing that? She showed me how to fill the thing, do I just dump out the old juice and pour in the new?

This thing came with no paperwork, no documentation, no instructions... just a little box for the top part and a charger for the bottom/battery. Please help me out here, this shouldn't be so freaking complicated.

Everything will vary a little bit due to how much you use it, but you should get around 1-2 weeks on one coil and most of the time you can find packs of 5 for around $10 online

    (2) I have not had mine leak in my pocket but yes it can, it will come out of the small air holes near the bottom. But you should start getting a gurgling sound wile drawing off of it first (known as flooding), when that happens take the tank off, turn it upside down and with a paper towel covering the battery side blow into it to clear out all the excess juice. And don't leave it in you truck it will leak out and get everywhere. If you do get some on you just wash it off, it's most likely going to happen at some point and I have yet to have had a problem.

    (3) just a wild guess but I'll say you probably have 2 to 4 days on a charge.

    (4) I have seen it come in 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, and I think even 32

    (5) I like to completely disassemble and clean my tanks when switching juice, but I will go a week or two on one flavor also. But you can just add a new one in if you want.

I've been at this for about 4 months now and it quickly got me of a pack a day habit, but those are my experiences with my mini pro tank 3 hope it helps

    Thanks for the help!
It makes a little popping/gurgling noise pretty much every time I use it. Should I be concerned? I'm the kind of guy that if this thing leaks in my pocket within the first week or so I will throw it out the window of my truck and drive very fast to the closest place that sells Camel Blues! As long as I can get past that point I will be good.

Oh, and here is slightly off/on topic question I am sure you guys have gone through... any suggestions on the best/easiest way to get the smoke stink out of my truck? Thinking I might be paying a detail guy.

It will normally do it a little bit but you will be able to feel it when it starts to flood, basically the juice has come past the coil and is not being vaporized. Within a week I was done with smokes, don't like the smell anymore and have no desire to ever go back. But I have never noticed it lingering in my truck and my wife doesn't seem to notice it any more either.

Yeah, I can see me quitting the smokes pretty easy with this thing. I am a veteran vaper from the herbal side of things for the past two years. Recently someone was over the house and asked if I wanted to partake in some herbal goodies of his and asked for my pipe, I had no idea where it was. Realized I haven't touched the thing in months and I am basically a daily herb user. That's when the light bulb went off and I realized I could easily give up smokes with vapor nicotine.

    1) I have the Kanger Protank 2 and the Aerotank. The time the coil will last will vary. I've found that clear liquids usually last the longest. A dark liquid, like a coffee flavor, will burn it up quick. I've been on the same coil now for close to 3 weeks with pure menthol (clear like water). I've seen videos where they take them apart and clean them to get a little more life out of them but I just toss them as they're not that expensive. Usually you can tell they're done when the vapor generated is much weaker or there is a burnt taste.

    2) It shouldn't leak even upside down. It's a little messy but not terrible. Don't get it in your eyes, it burns like hell. I had a small vendor show me how to put the juice into the kanger when I bought it. There was something wrong with the bottle and it wouldn't come out easily. Suddenly the nipple of the bottle burst and I got a huge blob of it in my eye.

    3) As for how long the battery will last, that will depend on it's mAh rating (milliamp hours). The smaller eGo batteries are about 600 mAh and go up to about 1100 mAh. The higher the number the longer it will last. Plus the more you hit it, the quicker it will drain. Supposedly 10 hits is equal to a cigarette. It doesn't seem like it's only 10 but I checked when I was smoking and got about 10 drags off the cigarette. If you're a light vapor, you'll get more time out of the battery.

    4) It'll depend on the vendor. Typically I've seen 24mg (considered full strength like a Marlboro red), 18mg, 11mg (marlboro light), 6mg (marlboro ultralight) and 0mg. The local vendor near me sells 24, 11, and 0.

    5) I usually wait until it's empty to switch flavors. If it's near the bottom, I pour it out rather than pouring it back in the eliquid bottle. You could also get another tank if you want a different liquid. If you want to switch flavors constantly, you'd be better off with a drip system.

The popping is normal. It's more prevalent on a new atomizer. Gurgling is usually because some liquid got into the center hole when you filled it. You can try taking the tank off the battery and blowing through the bottom of it to get the liquid out. Check the battery head as well, especially before charging. Some liquid may have gotten on the top of the battery.

For the smell in the truck, try Febreeze. Spray it right on the seats and the carpet.

Ready to get my first mod. The lady at the vapor store told me to go with an adjustable. She let use hers (with a plastic protector of course) and I choked. She laughed but said that's why I want an adjustable. She turned it down and let me use it again and viola. So much better than this evod I have been using. Hers was little black square Itaste something.

Wow this thing is awesome. Of course I had to turn it down. It hits way harder than the ego ever could.

Variable volt/watts is the way to go. It allows you to control the hit and taste. I have a SVD, Vamo 5 and a Spinner 2 and 6 tanks so I can change flavours. Very easy to use, to maintainand cheap. I ordered mine from FastTech in China. Cheap prices but very slow shipping. The MVP 2 mentioned is a very popular choice and they're fairly tough and they fit in your cup holder. Or if you get a round one. use a piece of pool noodle in cup holder. Check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forum.php An overload of info and very helpful people with all your ???'s. I've been off the smokes for 9 weeks after smoking PAD for 40+ years and I'm not going back. You don't realize how much you stink till you quit. Now to get the GF onto vaping.

As for the smell in your truck, try a bag of charcole briquetts open in the back seat for a week or two. It'll absorb the smell.

So maybe some of you can answer this. I just picked up the map yesterday. Love it. Smoked 4 analogs today and done. Decided I'm not gonna buy another pack. Not at almost 6.00 a pack. So I got the iclear 30 with the mvp. Then this morning went and got an iclear 16b when I filled the 16b and put it on the mvp I checked the ohms to adjust my voltage accordingly. Still learning here. It read 2.1 ohms well tonight I was checking my battery.(btw started at 4.3 unboxed now at 4.1 after full day use AMAZING) but when I check the battery it is showing 1.9ohms did something mess up? Is this normal? Why the .2 drop.

I have had my jump up and and down like that, I don't think it's anything to worry about and well probably go back after using it some. Just make sure it's making good contact with the battery.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
Not the same sensation. After smoking tobacco cigarettes, the motion of puffing on something also becomes a habit, and for me the ease of adjusting the nicotine levels is a big help. Plus it's not as fun and doesn't get me a 10 min break at work :p

Have you ever priced out Nicorette? My father in law went from having a $250 a month cigarette habit to a $400 a month Nicorette habit. That stuff is prohibitively expensive. The e-cigs are great. I haven't had an analog all week. I still get to enjoy the sensation of smoking and I get to control the amount of nicotine. The e-cig just keeps that anxiety off needing to buy a pack. I live in a place where past 9pm you need to drive a half hour to get to the closest store and I would use that to justify the fact that I need to have smokes on hand. Just in case I freak out at night and can't sleep or something. The e-cig just takes that anxiety away.

I can see myself still vaping even with 0% nicotine juice. Got some melon e-juice yesterday and love it.

I just checked it and it's at 2.0 so looks like maybe I might have over filled the tank now that it's dropping it is going back to normal. Hell idk.

My MVP always reads at 1.9 ohms no matter what wattage and voltage I select, which I attribute to the wick inside. My wick is an 1.8 ohm but I think the device adjusts to the correct resistance to meet the power draw. I normally smoke at between 7.5-8.5 watts depending on the flavor or juice thickness, and leave the volts low at 3.7. Thats just a guess tho as to why it would read 1.9
