    Hey guys!

I recently swapped out my lightbars with some from Element LED and they came out great. They aren't priced like the high end brands and are definitely better quality than the cheap options out there. Their customer service is really helpful and they come with a lifetime warranty.

The light bars are super bright. I really like the DRL halo feature of the Optix Pro. For the DRL, I ran a wire into the cab and used an add-a-circuit on the power outlet fuse. For the normal wiring for the primary light, you can see my writeup here. Below are the light bars I went with.

Optix Midnight Series 40" LED Bar
    • "Our Midnight series light is our newest addition to the lineup. It utilizes a new hyper-hardened convex lens which is able to project the light 20% further than the typical 10W led bar. The light was also designed with aesthetics in mind and uses a charcoal colored glass for a tinted look which has no negative effect on lumen output."
    • 15,000 lumens
    • 180 watts
    • Black panel design
    • Contains 18, ten watt High Intensity CREE LEDs
    • IP68 Waterproof rating
    • Military grade moisture breather technology prevents moisture build-up behind the lens
    • Durable die-cast aluminum housing
    • Noise silencing design eliminates hum, whistle, and other wind noises associated with mounted LED Light bars
    • Length: 41 1/8”
    • Height: 2 7/8”
    • Depth: 3”
Optix Pro Series 20" LED Bar
    • "Our signature series light bar was designed with innovative Total Internal Reflection technology. This enables 95% of the output from the LED to be projected forward as usable light. These lights also have separately controlled “DRL” style halo lighting around the spotlights. The efficiency of this light, along with the eye-catching design and ruggedness make it one of our top selling models."
    • 12,000 lumens
    • 72 watts
    • Black panel design
    • Contains 12, six watt High Intensity CREE LEDS
    • IP68 Waterproof rating
    • Military grade moisture breather technology prevents moisture build-up behind the lens
    • Durable die-cast aluminum housing
    • Noise silencing design eliminates hum, whistle, and other wind noises associated with mounted LED Light bars
    • Length: 21 1/2”
    • Height: 2 1/8”
    • Depth: 2 1/2”

Looks great man. I've been thinking about picking up a victory 4x4 roof rack, but have been holding off due to how pricey lightbars seem to be. I'm not seeing the 40" one you're talking about though? Only the RTX 40" which looks much bulkier. Looks like the link no longer links to the product. :(

    Thanks!

They may have discontinued the 40” of the one I have or it may be sold out. I do see the midnight in other sizes on the site.

I do know that the RTX, their newest light bar, is supposed to be a huge improvement.

It puts out a lot more light. It’s rated at 18,000 lumens and 210 watts with 21 ten watt High Intensity CREE LEDs on their site. My midnight is 15,000 lumens and 180 watts with 18 ten watt LEDs for comparison.

The RTX is also designed for roof racks. They show it on a Prinsu on their site. It’s a little smaller profile and not as bulky which is nice. It’s 40.5” long, 2.75” tall, and 3” deep. My midnight is 41.125” long, 2.875“ tall, and 3” deep for comparison.

Nice! How do you like them? I’ve been thinking about getting some ditch lights.

Have only used them a couple times. They have great light output, and i like the lifetime warranty like the more expensive guys

Bumping this, thinking of getting the 20” bar to put in my bumper that’s in the process of getting built. Would you say the Halo feature is dim enough to run as a DRL or normal on road use when the headlights are on? Rig is looking sweet man!

    Thanks!

I definitely think so. I have it hooked up to an add-a-fuse so that the DRL halo is on whenever the truck is on and it’s not too bright at day or nighttime. I love how it looks.

Great man thank you for the response. Would you say it’s more of a spot pattern or driving pattern? If it’s more of a spot I may need to add ditch lights which I was hoping not to haha

Just an FYI element is out on the 20” bars and not sure when they will be able to get more in. I’m bummed since they seemed to be such a good value and love the segmented look they have. Anyone know of a similar looking one under $350?

Anyone having difficulty getting in touch with Element LED? I placed an order two weeks ago with confirmation and a charge to my credit card, but have not heard anything since even after attempting to contact via email, website, phone, IG..

It’s more of a driving pattern I’d say

Oh wow, that’s surprisingly. I’m actually considering selling both of my Element light bars as I’m making some changes on the truck. I’ll sell them locally first before I consider shipping.

sorry to hear that! I haven’t chatted with them since May

Have you still not heard back from Element LED? I was just thinking about pulling the trigger on their amber fog lights.

Don't bother. It's been over 3 weeks with no return to any messages, email, or phone call. I started a dispute claim through my credit card for the charge.

Hmm you could be right. I didn't see anything on their main page stating "Made in the US" or something similar which 99% of companies will post all over the place.

Nope, but I did receive a box from them with a bunch of parts and instructions missing. What you get for the extra cost for the "tacoma" replacement fog kit is not worth the cost at all even if I received all the advertised and correct components. I sent a FB message and email to them to try and return the kit, but I doubt they'll get back to me as the company is now apparently "changing" ownership.
