www.eliomotors.com... Looks like a Canam Spyder, Roadster and Yaris had a 3-way. Starting price is $6,800. Anyone seen this in person?

Engine: Inline 0.9L 3 cyl, 55HP, SOHC, FWD
Efficiency: 84 mpg (8 gallon tank)
What comes standard: A/C, AM/FM radio, heater, defrost, 3x airbags, power windows and door lock, seat belts, tempered glass and windshield wiper
^Not making that up, that's what they list on the site. Windshield wiper.

It says it fits 2 people (one in front and one in back), but if Toyota can say my Tacoma access cab fits 4 adults then I guess anything goes.

If you wanna check it out in person:

Like a Spyder but FWD. Interesting concept... ugly as all hell though. It's like the they took the T-Rex concept and nerdified it.

^Maybe Elio should get that colour purple instead of bright orange. My bro and I might check it out at the Plaza tomorrow after work.

This car will never see production. Just another pipe dream. You'd probably need 20k/vehicle to turn a profit on this car, since they have decided to develop their own motor from scratch, instead of the original plan to use the 1.0L Suzuki engine.

I think they would sell easier if they used a motor peopleare already comfortable with like the suzuki motor stated above

Supposedly it will begin production in Shreveport, LA in March 2015, but who knows what happens between now and then.

If I'm brilliant, which I claim to be, it's not technically a car and is classified as a motorcycle. I would imagine there would be less regulations to meet but that in some states you would have to wear a helmet to operate one.

Yea, and possibly less auto insurance since it's a bike...

I'd buy one for commuting. I wonder how it would handle a deer? Probably have to install a plate bumper:rofl:
